These shorts are super light and comfortable. They are perfect for Ultralight backpacking. The are a multi-use item perfect as shorts, swimwear or an extra pair of unerwear while your first pair are still drying out after washing them!

Great pair of shorts!
March 25, 2012

These shorts do what they are supposed to. Super comfy and good for long runs out on the trails. I have had the opportunity to complete several 2 hour plus runs in these shorts and they are comfortable and wick away sweat well. I look forward to and expect many good years of service from these shorts.

These shorts are simply awesome. They are very light weight and do not get in the way of movement. I will definitely buy other colors when they become available.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance

Great Product but HUGE!
June 13, 2011

Orderd these on line - not even close to a 7" pant - these run very, very long - they feel great but I don't think these are a good running short - way to long! Wish they would have fit, love Mnt. Hardware

Refueler Shorts
January 31, 2013

I've worn these shorts on several runs now and I'm very happy with them. They're lightweight the size medium fits just right. They do not have any side or rear pockets, but do have a small inner pocket in the front. I expect them to last a long time as the material seems to be high quality.

Pros: lightweight, comfortable, high quality, Cons: no outside pockets

Great running shorts
March 22, 2012

I have been wanting to get some new running shorts for a while, and I am so glad I chose these. They have a good inseam length (7") so you don't look all 1981 going to gym class, and they are light as a feather. Snug inner liner keeps everything in order out on the trail, and there is a small key pocket, plus a side pocket that will fit a credit card, driver's license and perhaps an iPod Nano. Overall, I am super psyched about this purchase and would highly recommend them.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Great value, Performance

Excellent Purchase!

This is a great pair of shorts that I use for many different things. I run, swim, or just wear them casually. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a pair of shorts that they can use for many athletics. Great Buy!

Great trail shorts
August 29, 2011

These are great lite weight shorts. The material is the perfect weight for long summer runs. I've used them for 20 mile trail runs in high humidity, rain, and lots of sun. I'm a 32 in the waist and the medium fits great. I've used both the 7 and 9 inch seam, both work great for runs. But I also have long legs. The little thigh pocket is just big enough to put my trash and baggies and stuff in.

Great shorts
August 07, 2011

Every time I buy a Mountain Hardwear piece of clothing, I end up with a medium. This size, regardless of the product, fits my height of 5.10 and weight of 160. This conclusion definitely held up with the Refueler shorts. However, another nice touch of the Refueler was the different length options. Since I prefer longer shorts, I selected the 9 inch option. These are perfect shorts for the warmer months of hiking or trail running. They are lightweight, breathe superbly, have a welcome inner-brief, and are well-designed to complement the hip pressure points of a backpack.

The best running short

Everything is right about this short, because nothing reminds you that you have them on as you run. They mind your own business, so that you can attend to yours. Highly recommended.

Great workout shorts
November 15, 2011

I got these shorts for my husband and he wears them every time he works out or rides his bike. They are cool, comfortable and good to layer on top of tights during cold weather. They fit very well and don't seem to 'ride up' or catch anywhere...essentially, they stay in place even during strenuous activity. They are a breeze to wash and they dry very quickly. They are also lined which is a plus.
