Very soft, comfortable, a bit too short (if it is over my head the back of my neck is exposed), not quite as warm as a thinner wool Icebreaker balaclava. I used it for skiing. I found that it worked best as a secondary cover over the Icebreaker for extra warmth on the really cold or windy days.

Not sure why they call this a men's product. It is definitely for any gender! I use this all year round. In the summer, it provides just enough warmth for cool summer evenings or before the morning dew has gone. Great for sun protection as well. I can use it as a headband while hiking. I tried it this winter as a neck gaiter when skiing. I was worried I would be cold without my usual fleece neckwear. Turned out the only thing missing was the wet mess the fleece accumulates from my breathing! This Rappel Bandana provided more than enough cold protection, but was way more breathable and quick drying. It washes without problems and still looks brand new (I always air dry it). It is small enough to stash in any jacket pocket. I really love it.
