Good light weight shirt
May 30, 2011

The large fits comfortably on me, tight and not too big. I wear a 16.5-34/35 dress shirt (6'1", 195 lbs). It is very light weight, 7.1 oz. This is lighter weight than most short sleeve t shirts. I wear is as partial sun protection when exercising outdoors and it wicks perspiration very well. I got the North Sea color and it's a muted teal. Overall a very nice shirt.

Men's Wicked Lite Long Sleeve T
December 06, 2011

Excellent. Very comfortable and light, great color Titanium gray. Cleaning is a snap, a quick hand wash just takes a few min. in the sink. Be aware though that if you wear any gear with 'Hook and Loop' a.k.a. Velcro, this materiel does not like the 'Hook' and will stick to it then shred the materiel fibers when pulled apart. Other than that, great shirt.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Great value, Cons: do not let it touch velcro as it will shred it

Nice lightweight base layer
July 17, 2012

This shirt is a good quality lightweight base layer that won't keep you warm standing still but just right for hiking in cool weather. I wore this on a backpacking trip with most days in the low 60s and it was never too warm or too cool. The wicking is just OK but to be expected from such a thin shirt. It dries very fast.

Attractive, tough, heavy shirt
November 08, 2010

Have enjoyed wearing this sturdy, stylish shirt. It is a bit thicker than I thought, and I start to sweat after wearing it while exercising for only 3 minutes. I had imagined it to be thinner. So this shirt is better for sitting around than for exercise.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Cons: weight

Great workout shirt
March 20, 2005

These shirts are great for workout. They wick sweat very well, and have an athletic cut and so do not snag on my hands. The only downside is that they get snagged on sharp objects too easily.

Nice weight
March 07, 2006

Just the right weight for spring hiking or sitting around the house on a cool day.

September 27, 2007

Great shirt. The only shirt I wear on backpacking trips. Wicks the moisture, soft to the touch, and nice fit. Be careful, these shirts run a size bigger.

Good 3-season T
April 05, 2013

Very comfortable 3-season T that I have worn in temperatures going from 40 to 95 degrees. Could work as baselayer on Spring hikes. (I normally don't need a baselayer till below freezing temps.) Must have for summer hikes when sun beats you down. Have four and am shopping for more. :)

Pros: Build quality, Performance, Great value

Very nice
April 04, 2005

Great material, nice fit. I have used that shirt as a base layer during my winter camping trip. It worked very well, kept me dry and comfy.

Excellent shirt!
December 19, 2008

Great Shirt
June 27, 2011

I had to review as I am online to order more. My husband is on the water everyday as he is a Clam/Oyster Farmer and he LOVES these shirts. Very lightweight as it is 104 degrees here today, but will be great as a layer in the winter water months.

Pros: Performance

Awesome Shirts
October 28, 2009

I own several of them and they are awesome. they breathe and are pretty nice looking. I think I have about 4 of them. A definite must have from Altrec

Great fast dry
March 03, 2010

I often wear this top when I go to gym,it dries quick when I sweat.

Absolutely GREAT! Period.
August 05, 2006

If someone wants "silky smooth", buy silk...this is a plyester fabric which does it's job, pardon the expression, to a T(ee). I never thought I would wear long sleeve shirts in Florida in the summer, BUT, this Wicked T Long Sleeve makes me feel cooler than when I wore short sleeves. This shirt rules...thanks Mountain Hardwear.

Great Shirt
May 12, 2012

I went hiking in Cotopaxi in Ecuador and it was a great shirt to wear. Never smelled that bad unlike some of the other wicking shirts that I have worn. Very comfortable.

Functional and comfortable
March 06, 2006

This shirt is very effective at wicking moisture and the loose fit is exceptionally comfortable. It dries fast also. I would buy another one.

March 20, 2005

Comfortable in cold weather long runs and easy to wash.

Many advantages and disadvantages...
January 02, 2007

It feels great! Very loose comfortable with athletic cut, and looks great. BUT, I was hiking through few light bushes and it snags VERY easily! So far I sent it back to Mtn Hardwear and I have been waiting for three months, but they can't find my color... UGH!

March 13, 2006

This shirt is excellent - I've found it good as a method of cooling down, particularly when wearing many layers in the cold and there's potential to overheat - also, for those of you who have not yet tried ALTREC, they a great source of purchasing outdoor equipment

love the shirt, but do away with front logo.
November 19, 2011

Between my husband and I. we have the most MH wicked shirts in our houses. This "wicked lite" material is tightly knitted compared to the loder models, thus no more snagging. Only wish they didn't put the decal on the front which limits where you can wear this.

Pros: Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, Cons: logo on front chest

April 26, 2011

I purchased these in several colors, not a great selection, for wearing under an heavier outer shirt. They dry quickly and have very soft feel just like the short sleeve versions. The durability factor is excellent, as my holster rides comfortably and as yet shows no wearing or snags.

Favorite Long Sleeve T-Shirt
October 15, 2011

In a pinch I "borrowed" my first Wicked Light Long Sleeve T from my boyfriend over a year ago and I love it so much that he still hasn't gotten it back! I recently ordered a second one in a different color as well. The versatility and functionality of this shirt is one of it's best points. I've worn it running, hiking and as a baselayer snowshoeing, but the fit is also flattering enough to look great with a pair or jeans or cargo pants. I don't care for super tight fitting clothes, so the Wicked Light Long Sleeve T provides all the positive points of a light weight, sweat wicking shirt with out the skin tight fit of some other similar products. The material is very soft, but durable and holds up well in the washer and dryer. I am a 5'2", 125 pound female and I find that a size small fits perfectly.

Pros: Great design, Performance, Great value, versatility

March 01, 2007

This shirt feels just like an athletic jersey. It will snag very easy but if you use it for a base layer you don't have to worry about that. It feels extremely light and breathable. It has a nice athletic cut and dries pretty fast. Id recommend it for a base, maybe not a trail shirt.

nice shirt hot or warm weather
July 09, 2005

This shirt holds it's shape and feels like a solid shirt cool with a breeze and is a good sun block on hot days. The patagonia is a soft silk like shirt that does not hold it's shape, hangs off you like a shirt made with to much matterial. The mountain hardwear is the way to go.

My fav.
May 16, 2010

Love this T so much that I've actually got 3 of them.Keeps you cool.Feels smooth. Wicks well. Dries fast. Then what else do you expect from a T-shirt of this sort? Buy it, especially when its on sale.

Awesome shirt, so light and cool!
August 06, 2005

I bought this shirt to go camping with. Specifically, I wanted it to go hiking with, as I wanted something light, that would cover up my arms (to keep bugs off), but would keep me cool in 25-30 degrees C weather. Well, it did all that I hoped it would, I was cool, no bug bites, and I could hike for a couple of hours and barely notice that it was on! The only thing I should note, is that the arms were just a touch short on me (only by about 3 inches, maybe), so for those with long (34/35) arms, be warned that your wrists will be exposed to the sun, and the bugs, and to prepare accordingly. Awesome shirt, will most likely buy another in the future!

Stylish Inside and Out....
January 01, 2010

This top performs well outside during tough workouts, and looks and smells good by the fireside with a glass of wine after the ski. Very pleased with this shirt.

Looks good, but...
January 16, 2006

I'm super picky about how fabrics feel on my skin and this shirt just doesn't cut it. For that kinda cash, it should feel silky smooth and ultra comfortable, but alas, it's got the scratchy factor.

Nice shirt
January 02, 2010

Great shirt worn alone for spring/fall activities. Color schemes give plenty of options and the MH names guarantees superior quality. Sizing was spot on!

Best Wicking Synthetic T - Period!
April 07, 2005

In the past decade I've worn synthetic wicking T's from - at least - a dozen manufacturers for summer wear. The Mountain Hardwear Wicked is simply the best. The fabric, weave, and construction make it the most comfortable, best wicking, and quickest drying of all other brands I've tried and the fit is superb and perfect for almost every outdoor pursuit. I've had no problem with odor, even after wearing the same shirt for a week or more in the humid summers of the southern US, and although the Wicked-T's may not be high-fashion, they're nice enough to serve as around-town, everyday wear. I've both some of the short-sleeves as well as the long-sleeves and I have to say that for summer backpacking and hiking the long-sleeved Wicked-T is the "best-all-around". this is one of those garments where one simply isn't enough because you're going to want to wear them all the time - along with Mountain Hardwear's Pack Shorts and Pants these have become outdoor 'classics' and deservedly so. There are a lot of terrific synthetic wicking T's available - but this one is simply the best I've tried (and appreciate when I recall those sopping wet, clammy, chaffing cotton t-shirts that I suffered through as a kid).

Favorite Shirt!
September 22, 2011

I originally purchased this shirt to get above the dollar amount that would give me free shipping on my order. Upon receiving my order, I was surprised to find out that this was my favorite item in my order! The shirt is light weight, but others can not see through it. It is a nice athletic fit and is the most comfortable long sleeve I own. I liked it so much I purchased a second shirt a week later!

Excellent shirts, Mountain Hardwear does it again!
January 25, 2008

The sizing seems right on to me. I bought 4 large shirts and they all fit like I would expect a large to fit. They have a little bit of a shine to them, which I don't prefer, but I think it's just the fabric and not MH trying to glam up their stuff. All in all, a great buy and a great price, thanks Altrec.

Good alone or as a base layer.
July 18, 2005

This shirt is very comfortable and feels light. It allows for a full range of motion. It runs true to size. I am very happy with mine.

perfect lightweight layer
January 28, 2010

This shirt can be worn as a base layer, but can also be worn alone as a lightweight sports jersey. Love it.

The shirt was given as a gift.
January 06, 2007

Recipient really liked the style, color and comfort of the pullover. The material is perfect for our moderate climate in Southern part of Texas.

December 30, 2005

This shirt is the best! I've bought over 20 of them now for friends and family and everyone asks where I found such a great shirt! It's especially hard to find the long sleeve wicking shirt for men anywhere else (other than Altrec) now, so buy them while you can!!!

Very comfortable, soft base layer for all seasons
September 23, 2007

This is the tee that I wear for all four seasons. In summer, I wear it to block the sun. It is light weight, moisture wicking and soft. For winter, I wear this tee as a base layer. If you want to get a tee for four seasons, this is it.

Best value for the money
September 11, 2006

So I wore the shirt while cycling in bright Israeli sun / 35 degrees Celsius / over 60% relative humidity. The shirt felt real great. Sweat was well removed from body and the overall feeling was much better then you'd have expected when you wear a long sleeves dark shirt in those harsh weather conditions. Only drawback may be what seems to be a high susceptibility of the fabric to rub. Something to watch for - large size is REALLY large.

Great All-Around Shirt
October 20, 2011

The MH Wicked Lite is easily one of my favorite shirts. It is perfect for activities where you will be sweating, as the wicking feature dries out the sweat fast. I wear it during warm sunny days as it gives some SPF protection, and actually keeps me cool. During the colder seasons, you can wear this as a base-layer to keep you warm. As a result, you can wear this all year round. I use this shirt for working out, hiking, and casual around town.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use

February 25, 2007

A little more lightweight than it looks. I kept it. Still a nice shirt. My wife said it looks like I'm gonna go ride a bike when I wear it...

Best base
January 05, 2008

I bought this shirt for all 3 of my sons. They each have said this is heir favorite base layer to wear. Just like others have said--warm, soft and great wicking ability. Will definitely be buying more of these.

Nice shirt
October 21, 2011

I got this shirt both as a base layer at home and also as a long sleeve but light shirt I can take to Africa to keep covered from mosquitos. It is certainly light weight so not sure yet on durability but it looks well made. I have no worries that it will be comfortable even in hot / humid environments. It does fit snug like a base layer. I am a thin 5'10" and a medium is almost too small particularly in sleeve length.

Great Shirt
October 15, 2010

I have two, one a few years old, a second recently purchased - this is the shirt I use for pleasant-warm weather hiking etc as a base layer. A little expensive for a simple T-shirt, but functions well.

Pros: Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Cons: Cost

Great shirt for many uses
November 06, 2005

Recently bought several of these shirts for outdoor travel. No I even use them for working out. They feel good against the skin even when carrying a heavy pack and dry very rapidly. Good buy for the money.

Quick Dry-Quick Snag
July 18, 2006

Gotta love how the fabric breathes and how quick it dries...but it snags soooooo easily...hence the rub. If you only care about performance buy 3...if looks matter consider the hyperdry t or agility shirt.

Great shirt although it snags easily
January 23, 2007

I bought this shirt for my husband as a base layer for work. He's in construction and it has gotten pretty cold this winter in WA. He loves it!! It's long enough it can get tucked in and the sleeves are long enough too, which can be a problem for him because he's long torsoed and has long arms.

Best Paddling Shirt Ever
June 02, 2006

Toss out your favorite, bedraggled cotton tees, and see what a real perfomance shirt can do for you. Combined with proper headwear, these (I bought two) shirts will protect you from the sun and keep you cool. They have extra long sleeves that reach right up to your gloves so you won't have that slippery sunscreen goop dripping on your paddle. They can scrunch up to fit anywhere in your pack and can be washed on the journey (biodegradeable soap please) and will dry in minutes. They wick away your sweat and look very good as well. Highly Recommended!!

Great base layer
January 17, 2009

The shirt was a little lighter than I thought it would be. But it does provide a great base later or for cooler days when you need something on your arms. The material is great at moisture wicking. The material does not shrink when washed and I actually got a size smaller than I needed. They seem to be oversized a bit so I sized down one size. Fits great now.

perfect for camping
July 01, 2008

High adventure camping, canoeing and backpacking require quick drying fabric and this is just the ticket. Fits well and dries fast.

nice layer
January 05, 2008

I am a traveler and I travel light as possible. This lets me a add a super functional layer with near zero added weight and space. It is very comfortable and attractive. I got it in the midnight black, which is not black at all--more like a gun metal gray. I really like the color a lot.

material is coming undone
May 01, 2006

This is the first time I have had trouble with a Mountain Hardwear product, and see most people have not had this problem. I have had the shirt for 3 months and worn maybe 6 times. I was all my poly together on cold and extra gentle cycle and dry gentle as well. The material has a fancy wicking weave, but the weave has been pilling easy and then unraveling. I will look to Mountain Hardwear and see how their warranty works.

Great base layer
December 05, 2009

Mountain Hardwear shirts wear well and are great quality. This shirt makes a great base layer.

Incredible shirt
March 02, 2010

This is the second one I have purchased. The material is really nice and the Large fits me perfectly (5'11", 190 lbs).
