Plenty of tents claim four-season functionality, but few weather winter storms better than the Trango 3.1 tent. It utilizes a proven dual shelf design for structural integrity and vestibule support. The shelves serve as a modified internal guy system without the frustrating spider web of taut cords and garrote-like lines. The Trango 3.1 has two vestibule areas that also double as dual exits and help provide cross ventilation. A large vent in the center of the upper canopy further facilitates airflow, providing exceptional comfort in warm and humid conditions. While Mountain Hard Wear suggests that the 3.1 could fit four adults, the dimensions are best for suited for a trio (or a trio and a dog...) unless your quartet has no qualms about a little backcountry intimacy.
