I hate to take them off!
December 05, 2010

This is my second pair of MH Butter Pants and, really, I wish I could live in them. They're incredibly comfortable, yet durable--good for yoga, walking the dogs, hiking, relaxing. These (and the Butter Capris) seem to run true to size. I'm 5'5" and 120 lbs; the small fits perfectly (with room to spare).

Pros: Great design, Build quality
Comfort: 5 / 5
Quality: 5 / 5

LOVE!
May 19, 2011

these are so comfortable, and just barely long enough for me, a leggy 5'9". I can feel the diagonal seam across the front, but it doesn't bother me. They have rear patch pockets and a small inner key pocket in front. Haven't had them long enough to know how they stand up. I'm a size 14-16 and the XL is just right.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, soft and comfy

Buttery soft
January 29, 2010

Mountain Hardwear named this one right. Very soft, comfortable fit and good for hanging indoors or outdoor activities.

Love them

great pants
July 10, 2011

Butter pants is a really good name for these pants. They feel so soft and stretchy. The fit is right in there. I found that they shrunk in length when I washed them and sent them through a hot dryer. I would say that I am average height. If you are tall, you might want to skip the dryer. They are a nice mid weight...not as warm as fleece but wonderful for cool days. I would call the fit sculpted but not tight....just the way I like it. I would definitely order them again. Altrec's service was excellent. I had them days before I expected them and I know from past experience that the return process is wonderful too.

Pros: Build quality, Performance, Ease of use

Nice Pant!

Very well made and comfortable. Only giving them a 4-star rating v. 5-star since I haven't had them long to determine how they wear, but I have high hopes for them!

Attractive Pant
December 04, 2009

The jersey material has a nice feel, light weight and comfortable. But if you are shorter than 5'7" the pants will be too long. I ordered a small, which fit perfectly except in length. I have found that Mountain Hardwear womens sizing is ideal for long limbs, sleeves included. So if you meet the height requirements it's a great light weight pant, but since I didn't, they were returned. FYI I am an athletic 5'4" at 120 pounds. Is a Capri the only choice left??

Sizing inconsistent, draw-string waist flawed
January 05, 2010

I owned a black pair in a medium that fit well, wash well and that I really like, so I ordered a medium this time in the espresso. But, this pair is too big, and then the draw-string in the waist has been sewn into the seam making it unusable. I wish now that I had sent them back.

wanted to like these but...
July 18, 2011

I wanted to like these pants from what everyone said in the reviews. They are soft, yes, but I found them to be unflattering to a woman's figure. I found them to be shapeless and boring looking. I much prefer Patagonia or Icebreaker Rio pants as I find them to be more flattering.

Cons: Bad design, unflattering fit

Really Nice Pants
January 04, 2010

My husband bought me my third pair of these for Xmas, the expresso color is nice but for some reason this one is a little looser in fit than my other two black pairs. Very comfortable, and repels water well considering how light they are. I wear them for running and for casual wear around the house and to the grocery store, etc.

Quality and comfort
April 03, 2011

This is my second pair of butter pants. I wear a medium, am 5'6" and 135#. The fit and length are perfect. I love the feel of the material and the detail of the back pockets. I have received many compliments especially on the black pants. It is my go to pants for casual wear and have even worn it to work. I wish it would come in more colors like grey.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Great value

Wife loves them
December 03, 2011

Got these for my wife and she loves them. For yoga, sure, but also just for hanging out. They're warm and very comfortable. Got some "butter" for myself, and I love it too.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Cons: Cost
