like butter for my skin
I purchased this hoodie based on the reviews I read and I must say I am truly loving it. It is very soft and actually wicks the sweat away. I bought it in x-large only because I don't like my tops sticking to me and also because I can layer it with my duo-fold thermals. Love the side pocket, the thumb holes and the high neck cover to keep the draft away. Not bad for the price. Will be adding this top to my collection of functional tops to go walking in. Definitely recommend.

LOVE it!
I had to purchase this top after reading so many glowing reviews and now I know why! I have already worn it running on a chilly early morning run and it kept me perfectly comfortable... not too warm and not at all cold. I have also worn it with a pair of jeans around the house and I can attest that it is the softest hoodie I own. Only complaint I have is that for the first time ever I have bought something with sleeves that are TOO long, but it doesn't stop me from loving it. I have already thought of buying another.

Excellent Jacket!!!
I'm 5'2'' and 105 lb, and bought a XS. I'm very pleased that the material is thicker than I expected as the weather is getter colder these days. It is very stylish that can show your bodyshape well. I'm very sorry that I couldn't purchase other colors as my size in another color is out stock. I would have bought every color if my size was in stock. It's very proper to wear it alone when running & hiking in Fall and Spring and a baselayer when skiing & climbing as in Winter.

Most comfortable top ever
I got this long sleeve top for myself in chocolate color and guess what, all my friends are now ordering it too. It is great top for early run on the beach or for casual dinner out with my husband. I love fabric as well because it is so soft and comfy that you have to have it. I cant wait to try it under my ski jacket in the winter. The fit is true to size so no need to reorder. Love my top very much.

Best Top Ever!
I am 5'4" 130lbs. I ordered the medium and it fits perfectly.
I bought this top for myself, but my son loved it soo much I had to give mine to him. Now I ordered one for myself and will order two more because I love it. It's so comfortable and soft, fits perfectly all around, keeps me toasty in the cold but I don't even have to take it off when it warms up because it doesn't make me sweat!
I have four other "butter" Zippity tops from Mountain Hardwear and they are all wonderful: great quality workmanship and fabric doesn't fade and pill after years of wash and wear.
I couldn't believe how fast Altrec delivered my item! It seems like I just ordered it and it came, already!! Just took two days, unbelievable!

Runs large
I'm 5'2", 115#, and am usually a size extra-small or small. Based on other reviews that said this top ran small, I ordered a size small and it's huge on me. The "small" is so big that I actually think the extra-small would still be too big on me – so I'm not ordering it. I should add that the top does seem very well made and is very soft. I'm sure it would look and feel great on a larger person.

Mountain Hardwear Butter Topper Hoodie
I recently bought this hoodie and LOVE it! Just like the "Butter Botton Up Long Sleeve Tee" that I bought 4 of from Altrec, the fabric is awesome! Super soft, no pilling, but very silky yet durable! I like this hoodie style much more than previous versions -- longer to cover the hips, nice coverage on the neck for those cold days running on skiiing. As always, Altrec is super easy to deal with. I recently bought the Large hoodie but found it was too large and returned in for a Medium, which was plenty big when layering over other stuff. (I'm 5"2 and 105 and found the LS Tee from Mountain Hardwear to clingy at the waist/hips but this MH hoodie is much better sized.) The return process was super easy, and Altrec is easy to do business with.

Great fabric, great cut, annoying neck.
I love this fabric. It is so smooth and comfortable. However, this is the first MH item I've ever considered returning. The neck design is stupid. The hole for your head is so narrow and the hood looks dumb though it could provide decent insulation under a hood or hat. It's lengthy and has a good fit for a woman but I think the neck is dumb. I own two Power Stretch hoodies and I like them a lot more -- they could've at least given the neck a little bit of a cowl or a zip. It's like squeezing your head through the opening of a deflated balloon. Nice long arms too -- I am keeping mine but I've seen better items from MH.

Absolutely fabulous
Just ordered this hoodie for a spring backpacking trip and it was my favorite gear of the trip! Perfect and lightweight, but warm. Fits true to size. I wear a 6-8 and the Medium is great. Love the thumb loops. Highly recommend.

My favorit shirt(s)
I have four. Warm and comfy fit and soft material. Most importantly they have long sleeves wtih thumb holes so my hands stay warmer all year long. Love the hood too but would love a hoodless one too. Love the colors.

This is my third butter hoodie. Can't say enough about this fabric! It's warm but not bulky, and ohh so soft. It's long enough in the torso and arms, and the flat seams are perfect for layering. Betcha can't buy just one!

fantastic!
I now own three butter toppers and am simply thrilled with their comfort and durability. The hood is there when you need coverage but not bulky when you don't. Nice long sleeves and torso section, just like I like 'em. Titanium is an attractive light/medium gray.

my favorite shirt
I adore this shirt. The fabric is softer than anything else you'll find, the sleeves are actually long enough, and it's not ridiculously fitted. It's the best shirt ever, which is why I had to get two.

I love this shirt. Very cozy, form fitting but not too tight in the tummy area, fits well (not too long) which isn't easy with me being 5'3". I am going to get more colors

Silky Top
I ordered the Pale Orchid color since I already have a jacket in the same color and love it. The fabric is soft and silky and thought the fit was true to size. Also like the hood-gives alittle extra warming on cold days.

Super soft!!
This hoody is soft & I love the thumb loops. The color, blue river, was not as vibrant as it appeared on my computer screen. I sent it back for the espresso & love the deep brown color.

Good but photo was off
This top is great. Fit is true to size. Extremely soft. The Orchid photo does not show that stitching is actually purple.

great for 6'2
I am tall with arms 3 inches longer than regular. This top fits my amazon arms and is curvy and feminine at the waist. It is my favorite soft light weight top for casual.

good fit and long long sleeves :-)
Already being a fan of Mt Hardware clothing, I bought this top in cypress M and am very pleased with the quality and fit (I'm 5'6" 125 lb). The sleeves are plenty long, and have a close fit--which is such a bonus since I constantly struggle with too-short sleeves from the mainstream clothing mfrs. The fit in torso is somewhat loose, which is okay when the topper is worn with a shirt underneath. I plan to buy another.

Love it!
I ordered one and loved it so much, went back and ordered another color. It feels awesome, fits great (slimming and not too snug around the belly and sides) and dries in no time on a hanger right out of the washer. I am a size 6 and ordered the medium.

REALLY comfortable
This top is super soft and fits nicely under just about anything. It plays nicely with other shirts and you will hardly notice its there except for how soft and comfy it feels on your skin.
