Just a strange fit in the arms
May 29, 2011
Wanted this shirt to work, loved the color and the "star trek" look but I had to send it back. The arms were so tight and had no give I couldn't even push them half way up my forearms. And I am not a particularly muscular woman. It would have driven me nuts. It seemed like a well made shirt and it was soft for wool. The blue color was amazing, so wanted it to work.Pros: Build quality, Cons: Bad design

The teal is a spectacular color, and that is a big reason I am keeping it. The Catalan Long sleeve T is a top that is definitely athletic wear or base layer--as opposed to stealth office wear. Its thumb loop is positioned so that it leaves ample hand coverage when in use, (nice for when I wanted some hand coverage on my bicycle commute) but when not in use, it sticks out a little, and with this top's surprisingly snug forearm fit, pushing it up and out of the way is a little bit of a challenge--it was more amenable to being rolled at the wrist .(My forearm measures 9.5" circumference an inch or so below my elbow) Nice fit overall, and since I just got it I've no clue about its durability, really.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value

I read the other reviews before purchasing this shirt but took a chance and ordered the small anyway; I am 5.9, 130lbs, 32b and slim/long-waisted. I admit the sleeves are fitted but anyone familiar with this particular fabric expects it to be a close fit, allowing thermal protection while breathing beautifully. I work outdoors and this allows me to wear a single layer, whether busy moving or resting, and keep me from getting too warm or cool. The design of this one is great, very sleek and the colors are gorgeous. I haven't mentioned the beautiful seaming...but once you put it on you will appreciate the subtle attention to detail that makes this brand worth having. I also have the cowl-neck version which I adore and wore from work to a wine tasting which tells you how versatile they are. Both keep me feeling and looking great during the cooler months. Just right!Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Cons: Cost

I really like this shirt. It is a great shirt to use when layering for the cold outdoors. It wicks sweat off your skin and is a great product. I can't wait to wear it skiing this year. It contains thumb holes which make the shirt stay in place while keeping your hands somewhat protected from the elements. I bought this shirt because it matches my butter hardware skirt. THis can be worn a trendy causal look with a skirt and boots. I would recommend this shirt to anyone I know.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Great value
i wish this fit!

i ordered this top very excited about the purchase. i am 5'4" and 120lbs. i order xs in everything. first, the xs was extremely tight in the arms, and after reading reviews on the product, many people noted that this tops tends to shrink. granted, i am a climber, however, my arms are not that bulky. second, the waist area was not tight enough. it was loose and felt awkward. third, the material is very thin, and not as think as i expected for a base layer. fourth, i also have a longer torso, so a lot of tops are not long enough. mountain hardware usually fits well, but this has a very scalloped bottom that is not noticeable in the picture. however, i am very picky when it comes to clothing. if these concerns wouldn't bother you--the v-neck is a nice look instead of the usual crew neck base layers. also, i ordered the teal and it was a beautiful color, just lovely.Cons: Poor quality
Black, Bramble, Deep Turquoise and Thunderbird Red.
