good pants
April 25, 2011
This pants were purchased for my sister, and she liked it... She has wore it in the Spring outdoor, and it feels good. MHW is also one of my favorite brand, and I'll buy fleece from MHW as well.
Really happy with my purchase

So I got my pants today in the mail. Couldn't wait to get them on. Wasn't sure with buying the long how they would fit, but they fit great. I took Coolie and Khoda out on a beautiful 3 mile snowshoe walk in God's country (Marquette Michigan). Wow!!! I am so pleased with the performance of these pants. I wore one layer below them for additional warmth. It was 21 degrees and I was never cold. They fit perfectly, and the fabric feels great. I know it is only the first time that I have used them, but so far I am very pleased with them.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Cons: CostCan't beat this pant

If you lead an active lifestyle, these pants are for you. They are smooth on the outside and fluffy and warm on the inside. I am very tough on clothes, I have been wearing and washing these pants for several weeks now and ther are no pills, no unraveling seams, no holes,.. they look brand new. I can wear them to church and go straight to the barn. They are even stretchy enough to go for a jog. The built in belt makes the waist extremely adjustable. You can tuck in a heavy sweatshirt or a light teeshirt. lots of zippered pockets, but not bulky. They all lay nice and flat. I am 5'2"..110lbs. I bought a small. The fit is perfect. Not too tight..very flattering. Most versatile pant I own. No need to iron but if you are very fussy, you can iron them without burning them
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, look greatruns small

I had to return these. I am 5'9.5 and 130 lbs, and the small I couldnt even zipper. Too bad. Otherwise they seemed great. I am going to reorder a less expensive winter hiking and snowshoeing pant.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Cons: Cost, runs smallgreat purchase

good for skiing, too heavy for hiking
June 13, 2012
I was looking for a softshell pant for hiking in the high mountains of Peru this summer. The material of these was a bit too heavy. As the description advises, these would be great for backcountry skiing but a bit too much for hiking. I am 5'4" and weigh 115 lbs and the small would have fit fine and been roomy enough for long underwear.
