Great little hat
January 31, 2013
I used the product while up in NH over the w/e and could not be more pleased. It is soft and warm, it worked well in very cold temps. I am rather petite and at times felt a slight breeze over my ears but overall the hat worked wonderfully. I would recommend this product!Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use

I was looking for a hat that could handle gale force mountain winds, and I found it! This hat is very warm, very soft, and truly windproof! Only occasionally do I feel a little bit of wind coming in at the bottom of the earflaps. Overall, I totally recommend it!Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Great value

Very Nice quality, fit has a nice shape but leaves the bottom of my ears exposed due to my hair bumping it out, very warm with no air infiltration. Shipped fast.

I love this hat. It's warm, fits well, and is very attractive as well. I would highly recommend this hat. It has a much more feminine look than most winter hats designed for active sports, but functions very well. I hike in the mountains often, and this had always comes along!

This is a fantastic hiking hat. I'd recommend wearing it if temperatures are below 30F or slightly warmer if you are hiking where there is a very strong wind. The hat is very warm and will isolate you from the wind. I usually find that it becomes too warm and end up removing it or replacing it with a lighter hat when going on longer hikes.

Finally, a hat that keeps you warm, no matter how cold and windy it is! I had bought the men's version of this hat 2 years ago having not found a women's version. Unfortunately, I lost the first hat but happily, found the Women's Dome Meritage Beanie on the Altrec website. I got size regular, which was true to size as reported, and it fit perfectly. It's the hat I reach for when the temperature is in the thirties or below. I really like that the hat isn't bulky and keeps my head and ears warm even on those days when you really don't want to step outside!!

I bought this hat because I really liked the men's version. I am on the larger end of the 'regular' size so I got a large. However, after about twenty minutes of wearing it, I felt the compression of the band on my forehead and it began to give me a headache. I'd stick with the men's version for a better fit (for me, anyway). Otherwise, the construction is high-quality. There are two layers to help stop the wind. Lots of extra fabric on top.Pros: Build quality, Performance, Cons: strange fit on head
Warm and very cozy, fits snug!

This is the hat I will reach for when I need a really warm, wind-blocking hat that won't leave any extra skin exposed. It is REALLY toasty, and the windproof feature makes it a great winter storm hat. The full ear coverage is both good and bad - warmest hat I own, by far, but also makes it a bit hard to hear. The fit on the regular is quite snug around my face; I wish it was cute a bit further back from my eyes and had a little more give/stretch around the band. On the plus side, I definitely don't have to worry about it shifting around. The top of the hat has some extra fabric and I think the large would just be too big all over. If you like a snug-fitting hat and need full ear coverage, this is your hat!

I wear this hat skiing and it is so incredibly warm. Fits well with my goggles over them. The only thing that takes a little getting used to is not being able to hear that well because the ear flaps are so thick. But this is a good thing, because they are super warm. And if you are inside the lodge or car, you can just fold and flip the ear flaps up. If you are skiing in 20 degree and below weather, this hat is perfect!
