not what I paid for
I decided to go with a slightly higher end rain pant, laminated as opposed to coated fabric. I really expected more from these pants for the price.
First the fit, it's unfortunate that there is no petite option, meaning I have to put up with about 4" more fabric in the length than I need.
Then the rise is weird, shorter than is comfortable even though there
is plenty of room in the waist and hips.
But the worst thing is they aren't waterproof. Water resistant maybe, I can't say how they'd perform in a downpour, I suspect not
too well. I've worn them twice in light drizzle for about an hour each time, and each time came home with my pants damp and with obvious places where the water was seeping through onto my thighs and knees. They will probably be fine as snow shedding pants in the winter.
Unimpressed.
