I was looking for a vest with wind protection to replace an old Perl Izumi vest I had. This vest is so soft and attractive, I find that I wear it more for casual than for sports, but it definitely performs for sports. The only thing I would advise is that it is sized a bit roomy. I am generally a small, but probably could have used an XS. It is roomy in the tummy, and a little long through the back
