Not impressed
March 07, 2012

I was looking for a nice comfy sweater and since I had never seen this particular sweater I relied heavily on the reviews posted here. Although the sweater is really beautiful (I loved the color and material) I was disappointed with its overall fit. The arms felt tight and the neck was awkward- if did not fit nicely around my neck, and it was not long enough to be folded inside out. Truth be told the neck did it for me! and I had to return it. I am 5.3 ft, 150 lbs and have always bough S and XS clothes. With this one I went for a S and it felt just a bit tight.

I love this sweater! It's comfortable, warm, and looks great! It fits a bit large -- but I think that's an advantage so you can layer items underneath it. I've washed it once (didn't dry it per the instructions) -- it air dried quickly and still fits! I'm buying another for my friend's birthday after she threatened to steal mine -- I'm not giving it up that easily!

Pros: Great design
Comfort: 4 / 5

great sweater, weird sizing
December 27, 2011

I love the light weight, warmth, color and texture of this sweater. The only odd thing is the sizing - I tried on a small in a store and it was very large and baggy around the middle, given its shaped cut. So I ordered an xsmall from Altrec, and it just barely fit. It's somewhere between a sweater and a fitted shirt in terms of fit, for instance, the arms are long but not quite long enough to make using the thumb holes comfortable. The arms fit tightly, and I have scrawny arms. I'm good with the fit but the gap between xsmall and small is way too large. I've noticed this problem with mountain hardware sizing in womens' tops before. If you can work around this issue - if you're between a small and medium for instance - it's a great sweater and I can tell it will wear well. I've already washed and air-dried it twice, and it just gets softer and more comfortable without looking worn.

High Quality Sweater
November 25, 2011

I bought this for someone as a gift and when it arrived the quality was impressive! ItÂ’s very well made, and the pattern, color and style are really attractive. The fit is true to size, and itÂ’s extremely warm. I was stoked about giving this gift, and the recipient loved everything about it except the wool in the material. Unfortunately she canÂ’t wear wool, but for women that can we both think this is a great style and performance sweater.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance

Love this Sweater
November 20, 2011

I bought one of these sweaters last year. It held up well especially as I washed many times. I love that it has a lining in neck in order to decrease the itch factor. I typically wear a light layer underneath. I now have two and will consider another in a different color.

Pros: not bulky
Comfort: 5 / 5
Durability: 5 / 5

Ready for Winter
October 19, 2011

This sweater is very practical, super warm, comfortable and cute. I love the stile and the fact that I can wear just a t-shirt or warmer long sleeve base layer under the sweater, depending on the cold Minnesota temperatures. I'm 5'5", around 145 lbs and purchased size L. It's a bit big but that will leave plenty room for extra layers which I will need.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Ease of use, great color combinations

Snazzy Sweater
September 04, 2011

I live and work on a large farm, I want to look good yet have clothes preform for me. The ease of washing this sweater, the bright red color and soft warm fleece inside make this a winner for me. I am a devoted Patagonia buyer but recently added Mountain Hardware to my work attire. Life is too short to look dumpy, I want work clothes like this.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, cleans up great!

Great sweater!
February 08, 2011

I love this sweater! It is super comfy and the teal/green is a great color combo (with a thin chocolate stripe for definition). It runs a little small if you're going to wear a shirt underneath. I am between an extra-small and a small (5'5" and 105 pounds and I don't wear things too fitted) so I ordered the small which fits fine with a turtleneck. It is a bit snug under the arms, so that is why I ordered the small. If you're planning on wearing it alone, I think it runs true to size. It's lightweight, but very warm. Great purchase!
