Engineered for ice and alpine climbing, the Tenacity Jacket relies on Mountain Hard Wear's innovative welding technology for durable seams that are completely void of needle holes. What this means is that you enjoy a streamlined, waterproof and breathable jacket without the bulk and ballast of sewing and extra taping over sewn seams that is typically found on garments used for climbing. The Tenacity uses 40-denier FTX nylon shell fabric that is welded to three layers of waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX® XCR laminate. You'll find additional FTX reinforcement material along key areas in the shoulders, sides and arm insets where harness and pack strap abrasion often occurs. Other distinctive features include a rigid laminated brim on the adjustable Ergo hood and a convenient sleeve pocket for a two-way radio or other transmitter.

Technically as good as TNF Ama Dablam, this Tenacity jacket looks better. Mountain Hardwear puts a lot of effort in its gears that the smallest detail is well cared.

This is the nicest waterproof/windproof shell I have owned. Great colour (smokey violet), lightweight, and good fit. The flat seams, watertight zipper, and Goretex XCR really make a difference to the reducing the bulk of the garment. Can't wait to put it through the rigors of a Canadian winter.
