Sizing is Off
September 28, 2011

In the Mountain Hardware Strada skirt the size 8 fits me perfectly. So that's what I ordered in this skirt. Erk - not only is the waist tighter than the Strada, but the hips are too snug for my preference as well, and I have very narrow hips for my size! So I ordered the size 10. Erk, again! It's too big in the waist, but it fits if I let it hang lower, so the length is a little lower too. I couldn't decide what to do as it's an awfully cute skirt, so I've kept both, which sounds horribly decadent: the 8 for my slimmer days and the 10 for my puffier days. I have since lost about five pounds and I suspect the 8 will fit well and the 10 will fall off. It's an adorable skirt, but I wish Mountain Hardware would treat their skirts like their pants, with a little "give" belt to make the fit perfect.

Pros: Great design, Build quality
Cons: poor sizing

Waist is Way too Big
September 11, 2011

The waist is way too big on this skirt. And I really don't like all the contrast stitching. But the skirt is super comfortable, lightweight, and after washing and drying it comes out with no need to iron. Flattering knee length, not too tight around hips, and looks good. I will take in the skirt about an inch around the waist. I got the size 12, the waist is still big but the hips might be too tight in a size 10. 5 feet 7 inches tall, weight 185, with big hips and thighs.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance
Comfort: 3 / 5
Durability: 4 / 5
Quality: 4 / 5

Cute but runs large
February 22, 2011

I love the look and feel of this skirt, unfortunately the size I ordered seemed to fit on the large side. I ordered my usual size for Mountain Hardware and for this particular item it was much too big. I am sending it back and considering trying the next size down.

Pros: Great design
Comfort: 4 / 5
Durability: 4 / 5
Quality: 4 / 5

Great looking skirt
February 04, 2011

I ordered the size 2 because the reviews said the skirt ran too large. Not so for me. I returned the skirt and ordered the size 4. I am assuming that this skirt will fit. It is great looking. Mountain Hardwear always is hard to fit! Sometimes too small, sometimes too big.

Pros: Great design, Ease of use, figure flattering
Comfort: 5 / 5

Quality Skirt
January 13, 2011

This is a great skirt. Very well made. The A-line cut makes it very comfortable. It does run large. I had to return for a smaller size.

Pros: Lasts forever
Cons: runs large
