These attributes translate to quick-drying performance and excellent climate control regardless of whether you wear it on its own or as a baselayer. Mountain Hardwear adds all-natural chitosan anti-microbial treatment to reduce odor build-up, while flatlock seams reduce chafing potential when worn with a pack. The shirt's athletic fit and crew neck style are cut with a woman's body in mind and to enhance its technical performance.

From street to trail, the Women's Wicked Lite Long Sleeve Tee Shirt is the perfect companion to a post-work run, an early morning workout, or a weekend backpacking trip under high-elevation sunny skies.

Runs a little bit small
September 30, 2011

Its quility is good, especially the material; it looks very strong & durable. However, I decided to return it due to size. I have a little wide shoulders, and as this T is designed for raglan sleeve in the front, the thick & strong stitches at the underarm part connecting to the chest keep touching my soft underarms so my skins seems irritated. If you're thinking of buying this, you'd better consider your shoulder size. I could have had a Small so that I could have more comfortable arm parts, but if so, other parts won't fit(kinda loose) and performance will be less effective due to the gap between this T and my skin. However, I recommend this T for whom has normal or narrow shoulders.

Light as a feather
August 17, 2012

This shirt makes a great base layer. It is made of super thin, smooth silky material that doesn't add bulk. Perfect on hiking trips where it starts out cold but warms up quickly. Long sleeves provide good sun protection in warm weather without overheating. Like all Mountain Hardwear its nicely fitted to a woman's body and high quality. I've had no problems with pilling.

Finally!
March 13, 2013

I have been trying on and trying out a multitude of shirts to take with me to Costa Rica. My last experience in Peru reinforced my decision that I needed to have shirts that were comfortable, easy to wear and travelled/packed easily. This shirt fits the bill. I've worn it twice now hiking here at home and it's passed all my tests. I can't wait to see how it does in the jungle. It's light, moisture wicking, rolls up small and shakes out just fine. Looks like a winner. An added bonus is that it comes in great colors!

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value

wicked T's are wicked
October 01, 2006

I have Wicked T short-sleeve, long sleeve and sleeveless shirts. They all fit perfectly (I am an XS) and are excellent performance shirts. Mountain Hardwear quality is unsurpassed.

Nice Styling
November 12, 2009

Great fit, plenty of length and very comfortable. Bought a second one after wearing the first on a long day hike. Dries quickly and of course layers well. Cool when you need it and warm when the wind picks up.

comfortable tee
April 08, 2005

Great product. Cut is smaller than previous year's model.

Love this shirt.
May 04, 2010

It is very comfortable. The fabric is very light. Many color to choose from . I like to wear it for the hot weather. Simply love it.

Still looks great after all-day riding, doesn't hold odors.
October 09, 2006

This shirt is great! I have several in both long sleeve and short sleeve. Both styles are very comfortable and light weight. I live in the south and ride my bike all through the humid summer. It dries very quickly and doesn't hold odors! It's a wonderful layering piece and folds down to a very compact size. I'm getting ready to order more.

IT is Wicked and it is Lite
November 09, 2010

As in all reviews I always look for sizing info. I am 5'2" and 127lbs, I am a 32B in the chest and the small fit perfectly. I ordered the shirt in both xsmall and small and the xsmall was too tight in the neck and chest area. I use this shirt as an baselayer in the winter as it is very thin and feels like silk against the skin but most importantly it is awesomely wicking.

Pros: Great design

Excellent Garment
March 29, 2007

Great top - bought it as a gift for my girlfriend - she's worn it a number of times on spring hikes and found it to be great for heat evaporation and sufficiently cosy in a light to medium breeze - the hawaii is a fashionable color too

The perfect base layer
January 13, 2007

This top is the perfect base layer, because it is thin enough to fit under even an athletic fitting top like the Arcteryx "covert" line, yet is thick enough to wear alone and look great! Mountain Hardwear tops run small, so size up!

Nice layer
February 02, 2012

This shirt does exactly what I need it to do - provides a great under layer to keep me warm under a light weight wind breaker on early morning runs - even when temps are cresting at a balmy 27 degrees. Comfy. Very thin but seems sturdy.

liked previous version better
July 24, 2012

This is a great shirt, don't get me wrong. But I have previous versions of the long sleeved wicked tee that I prefer. They had a little bit of design along the sleeve and one side, plus I liked the fit better-- not quite as long. I'm 5'8", 130 lbs and I previously got medium and it fit perfect. The medium I just got is just slightly too big, so I'm going to try a small. That said, I love these shirts and wear them everywhere- to work, under sweaters for extra warmth, over a short sleeved shirt when it gets just a little chilly, playing tennis, hiking, you name it. They pack down to nothing and are super comfortable. They are light enough that you can wear them to keep the sun off without getting too warm most of the time. I still wear the ones I got quite a few years ago, except the white is getting a little stained, but I have worn it to death for years.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use

Perfect
April 22, 2010

Purchased this shirt for my girlfriend. It did not take much to convince her that cotton is not your friend after wearing this shirt hiking for a weekend. The fit was perfect and the fabric performed as advertised.

May 31, 2012

I bought for my mom's gift. It's made of really light and thin fabric. Very high perfomance for excercise and any works. It is also good for town wear. That's one of the hazards of it is getting linty well.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Great value

great for running

i got 2 of these very breathable and lightweight yet really good for layering against the cold. i got the xtra small and it was true to size, sits right above the hip.

Love the Look & Feel of this Shirt!
August 01, 2011

This shirt runs true to size. I am 5"4 and 120 lbs and the S is a perfect fit. I can even wear a tank or t-shirt underneath and still be comfortable. I did not have any problem with the arm length either. I ordered it in Classic Navy and I am so happy with the color. Definite quality item and I am considering ordering another one. Will be using on an upcoming trip to Alaska which will allow me to layer without adding bulk. It will be a great part of my walking/hiking attire. It is that perfect blend of breathable and a long sleeve T-shirt all in one.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Great value

great shirt
March 04, 2008

We have been spending our winters in AZ and love to hike and run in the mountains. We love that these shirts not only wick the moisture, but also provide the needed sunblock so that we can continue our activities. We have a number of these shirts and just alternate colors. My 2 concerns with the shirts is that they do snag on the desert brush and my husbands', over many repeated washes, has grown loose in the wrist area. I would not hesitate to get these shirts again because so far they are the best of the shirts we have seen with the dual properties.

I love this shirt
February 27, 2009

I have the short sleeve version of this shirt. I ordered 3 long sleeve knowing that I would be completely satisfied. I like the shorter, fitted styling. The shirt looks and feels great no matter what you are doing. It is stylish enough for casual wear and performs well in various temperature conditions, wicks well. The only downside, and this goes for every Wicked T out there, is that it pills easily; avoid Velcro at all costs. I certainly plan on adding more colors to my collection. Overall, Mountain Hardwear makes good products, haven't been disappointed in anything.

Great lightweight shirt
August 29, 2005

I love this shirt. It wicks wonderfully and dries fast enough that you won't ever get that cold, wet feeling again. If you have long arms or a longer torso, get a size larger. It won't shrink, but it does sit higher on the waist and the wrist than many other shirts do.

Superb - extremely comfortable!
October 09, 2005

I love the wicked T. After buying my first one I had to buy more. I have two short-sleeved and two long-sleeved to cover all kinds of weather. It is the most comforable fabric I've ever worn and the wicking abilities are fantastic.

Nice cutting
December 30, 2011

I'll recommend this to friends, it is light, fits well and comfortable. Usually my size is on the border of S and M, for this shirt M is right the size for me. The other thing I like so much is it's pretty long, when backpacking it is more comfortable than the shorter one.

Pros: Great design

perfect base layer
February 23, 2005

works well under a bike jersey or as a base layer under an Alchemy jacket while skiing.

the best wicking shirt!
January 18, 2009

I ordered one wicked-t and liked it so much I have since ordered 3 more. It's lightweight and comfortable. The wicking properties are superior to other shirts I have worn. Nice styling and a variety of colors to choose from make this my favorite outdoor shirt.

Runs a little small; shoulders pucker
August 15, 2012

Bonfire color is good. Materials are good, although the shoulder seams pucker awkwardly to create pointy bits on your shoulders. Having trouble figuring out Mountain Hardwear's sizing... I'm 4'10", so XS is often still too big for me in other brands. Mountain Hardwear often comes close to fitting, but seems to vary a lot. For example: Ediza XS, "semi-fitted" according to product description: - generally fit OK - "semi-fitted" accurate; some shaping but not "shapely" - body and sleeves too long Wicked Lite XS, "semi-fitted" according to product description: - fit PERFECTLY - more like fitted than semi-fitted - sleeves were perfect length Don't understand why the sizing varies so much. Compared to other brands, Ediza sizing probably more as expected, and Wicked Lite probably would seem to run small to most.

Great shirt for hot weather
July 02, 2011

I work outdoors 10 to 12 hours a day during the summer. I have been very pleased with the fit and performance of these shirts. I bought 2 and I am able to rinse them out in the sink at night and they are ready to go by morning. The fabric is very comfortable as is the fit. Also, they don't stink like some "performance fabrics" do. I have long arms and a long torso. I purchased a small and they are a perfect length in the torso but they are just long enough in the arms. The arm length is not too short though, so overall I am very pleased. I do wish they offered some SPF protection but that is my only complaint. It very nice to be able to wear a long sleeved shirt that doesn't make me too hot during long summer days in the sun. Highly recommend this shirt to anyone who will be active in the summer heat (hiking, running, biking ect.)

I love this shirt!
June 20, 2006

I have very fair skin and have to wear long sleeve shirts all summer when I exercise outside. This shirt is perfect. It keeps me cool, but blocks out the harmful rays. Plus, it looks nice!

May 10, 2009

Very comfortable and great colors

Good Lightweight Shirt
August 03, 2005

This shirt is very lightweight, great to roll up and stick in a hiking or biking bag. Due to it's thinness, it does tend to catch on things and pull a little bit, but just don't roll around in a pile of twigs and you should be fine!

cool!
February 14, 2006

I alway's have it in my bags, i travel a lot! It's light and comfortable!

Nice soft shirt
June 07, 2006

I purchased this shirt for camping, I haven't gone camping yet but I've worn it a couple of times. The length is kind of short and the sleeves a bit long but I am a small girl. I like the feel of the shirt, it really keeps you cool!

This is a great underlayer. Light, but functional.
January 27, 2007

I like the weight and color. It will work great as a base layer for skiing and snowshoeing.

weird sizing
May 09, 2009

I really like the fabric, but the sizing is not right for me. The neck is too high, and the length is too short. Overall, it's a little small, too, but if that were the only problem, I'd just get the next size up. I'm going to try a different style.

Very Comfortable
April 08, 2010

I find this shirt fits perfectly. As an item that wicks I find it extremely comfortable. Layers very well. I plan to buy several more in different colors.

A good thing to have
May 13, 2005

I love the material and effectiveness of this shirt. The one nit-picky thing that I would change/"improve" is the cut; I have a semi-long torso, and this shirt could be a little longer.

Runs tight under arms
November 02, 2011

I have quite a few of this same shirt in a tank. I love them! I normally wear a large shirt which fits my broader shoulders. If I have any trouble with a large, it is generally the sleeve length is too short for my long arms. This was just a little too snug under the arms, so perhaps something is wrong with the cut. I have a medium to slender body build, so this might fit someone on the slender to thin side.

Pros: Lasts forever, Performance, feels great on the skin, Cons: tight under the arms

good looking, versatile, functional clothing for anywhere.

Awesome
December 05, 2005

I have been wearing patagonia long sleeve airus eclipse's for years but the last couple they bothered me at the seams. I started wearing the Mountian Hardwear Long sleeved Wicked tee and love it. I now own 4 I will never buy an airus again. I can't wait for next seasons colors so I can buy more Wicked tees. I summitted 8 13ners and 4 14ners with the wicked tee as my base layer and could not have been happier.

i love it
December 17, 2007

I love this shirt. I saw it at a store on vacation and searched the internet for it. It is great, comfortable and lives up to its advertisement for warmth and wicking.

Breathable sunscreen
September 19, 2011

The "wicked lite material" is a smooth but not "slimy" feeling mesh, and it breathes beautifully in the hottest weather. In cooler temperatures, it works very well as a thermal underlayer. I like that the neckline is neither deeply scooped nor high and tight; that way I get some sun protection while still enjoying a graceful shirt neckline. Don't let this get anywhere near velcro, or it may snag. I usually wear a small, but in this shirt I found the small to be tight in the bust (and I'm not busty), so I found the medium to be a bit loose but more comfortable. Returning to my usual complaint, I wish it came in petite; I'm 5'1 and had the sleeves shortened 3 1/2 inches because the fabric is too slippery to stay folded over. Still, I love the shirt, so to me it was worth it. Highly recommended.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value

Extremely light-weight and comfortable!
May 11, 2005

I play lots of tennis out in the hot sun and need something to cover my shoulders and arms so they don't burn. This is an amazingly light material - extremely comfortable and nice to wear. Unfortunately I've washed it twice and it is beginning to show some wear already. But - I love the material and may order another (handwashing might make it last longer). It is much lighter than the North Face long-sleeve shirt (which I also like).

Must Own One at Least!
June 14, 2009

It's superb! I used it in a tropical hiking weather, within 30mins into the walk i'm sweaty wet and within the next few minutes it drys up quickly and feels comfortable. Light on the body and the material feels so good. Bought another piece immediately and now waiting for available sizes for other colours.

great shirt for biking and working out in
November 15, 2008

This shirt is also nice for layering underneath a sweater or other top. It wicks away the moisture well.

Fabulous shirts

Comfortable
April 02, 2013

Have only worn it a couple times and not under very testy conditions, but so far seems like a good piece. I have worn it as a base layer so far. Comfortable and nice and thin, but does not appear to repel odor as the description suggests (or maybe it's just me). For that, nothing seems to beat the thin merino wool layers.

Love this shirt
November 10, 2010

I've bought 3 of these shirts because I love them! I am fair skinned, so I buy the long sleeve shirts to wear in the summer to protect my skin. The fabric is so lightweight and cool, and it wicks sweat and dries out so quickly. I wear it on hot, humid days, and it keeps me feeling cool and dry. It's also great for traveling, because you can wash it at night and hang it to dry, and it will dry out by the morning. The fit is true to size...I'm 5'4", 120 lbs and a small is great. I would definitely recommend this shirt for warm and hot-weather activities.

Pros: Performance

Very comfortable
August 25, 2006

I was wearing this shirt during some days in a sunny and sometimes cold expedition, and at these two conditions it worked OK. Paid attention about the large, because it's short.

Great shirt but not for backpacking

This is a great shirt! It fits true to size. I wear it during my bicycle commute to and from work...cold weather as a base layer and warm weather by itself. It's very lightweight and cool. Does a great job at wicking, drys very quickly, and doesn't smell too bad either. I have three more of these shirts on order as it has quickly become my shirt of choice when getting on my bicycle! January 13, 2013

I got this shirt as a base layer for a safari we are planning. It is the perfect fit- not to tight and not too loose. The material is very soft and smooth. It is high quality as to be expected with Mountain Hardware. I got the morning mist color and it is a soft lavender and very nice.

Pros: Great design

Wonderful
January 03, 2007

It's light and breathable, great for traveling. Too bad many of the colors are too light and therefore see through, so I kept my blue one but wished I could have gotten more had the colors been less see-through.

EHHH...
January 19, 2007

This is a great shirt that holds up to the test of time and serves the wicking purpose fabulously, but it's way too short in the length. if you ride with it, it comes up in the back and exposes too much making your ride very cold. also, the sleeves are wicked long. be weary of using velcro arm bands (i.e. iPOD holsters, mp3) b/c if the velcro touches the shirt, the velcro pops and pulls making the area look likes it falling apart. but it does wick sweat. that is it.

Amazingly light and quick-drying.

Very Nice Durable Garment

Extremely durable, breathable, and comfortable shirt!
August 23, 2005

I wore this shirt in a day long eco-challenge, and I was amazed with the wicked T. Between trekking, mountain biking, hiking through major salmonberry patches, and swimming in a lake (yes, I had the shirt on), I was amazed at how well the shirt withstood the elements! It is extremely quick drying, and I was never too hot or too cold. It did not snag or sag, but rather it felt like a second skin. I would recommend this shirt to anyone looking for a comfortable, breathabable, and durable shirt.

Its a No
March 12, 2012

Good things first. I got the blue color and its a pretty shade. The material felt nice. What I did not like, was the way too small fit and the seaming was rough on my skin. This was a first purchase for me in this brand and I'll tread more carefully next time. i did think the price was great due to outlet sale but had I known how off the sizing was, I would have passed. I did wear it once as a base layer and the wicking seemed ok but it was hard to breath and I was relieved to remove it.

super wicking shirt, just don't wear a pack
January 19, 2011

This is my second wicking shirt from the manufacturer, and this time I'm not going to wear it when I hike with a pack. My first shirt, made of the same material, definitely started piling and wearing away at any friction point. It snags easily on branches too. So I gave this shirt fair for durability. However if you plan on taking on high aerobic activities, this shirt rocks.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Cons: piles and snags easily

comfy, but not for tall girls

I loved this shirt and purchased it to climb Blanca peak this summer. Unfortunately, I did not keep it since the sleeves were too short on me (I'm very tall and lanky for this is a common problem). If you are tall or have long arms this shirt might be a bit uncomfortable but for everyone else it's great!

Great Purchase!

Always a favorite tee. This version is much more fitted than previous wicked T's. Good for all year, all around, durable & looks good on you.

Great!

I have several north face wicking long sleeve shirts but am much happier with MHW long sleeve tops. They are a bit looser and lighter weight making them more versitle. Great choice!

can't go wrong with this shirt

fantastic performance results... i have a few of these shirts and will definitely reinvest again. the torso and sleeves do run short so i would recommend going up a size. don't hesitate to try them out. i am sure you'll be pleased.

Great for activities

This shirt wicks great. Comfortable and lightweight. I just wish it was longer. I am tall and like my shirts to end closer to the hip and right at the waist.

Very Comfortable

I purchased two of these shirts based on the recommendation of a friend for hiking in the Sierras. They are incredibly comfortable. The only color in my size was orange, but I purchased them anyway. Wish you had more colors available, but I love the two I have.
