Bought for my son
February 24, 2012
My son is to tall for kids pants & alittle small around the waist for men's pants, but he loves them. I got him the 28 x 32. I think he would have liked 28 x 34, but they didn't have any in the 34 length. Hopefully he can wear these for a while before he grows out of the length. He loves the fact he can turn them into shorts if he gets hot.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Great valueGreat pants for us guys with long legs
April 22, 2011
It is very hard for me to find pants with a 36 inch inseam that otherwise fit my personal taste. Apparently, fit outdoorsy types aren't six foot three 235 pound lumberjack looking muldoons. 5.11 has, up to now, been my go to trousers because of their rugged design. The problem I have with them is that they look like a uniform. I wear my military uniform every day and I really like a lot of the features. However, I'd like just once to have the features I like in a pair of pants that don't scream "off duty Soldier" while I'm hiking with my kids or travelling through the airport. The Mountain Khakis Granite Creek Convertible Pants are golden. I get all the ruggedness, the're lightweight and fast drying, and have just the right amount of pockets that I like without looking like a security contractor. And finally, the pants are offered in a size that I actually fits my long legs.

Granite Creek Convertibles
July 25, 2011
This makes my third pair of convertibles from Mountain Khakis. Excellent quality and fit overall. Nice to find convertible pants these days with actual belt loops and reinforced areas. The gussetted crotch is mandatory for plane trips, etc. Used these recently in Montana flyfishing and they performed exceptionally.

Great Adventure Pant

The best nylon adventure pant I have ever purchased. They fit all my needs and expectations for what I look for in this style of pant. Fit was spot on for me.

These are great pants very comfy and true to fit. I purchased the short version and they are the perfect length for 5' 7" The leg opening is the perfect size to zip off with boots on and are not overly large like some reviewers state in My opinion. I guess they could be considered large if your use to wearing super skinny jeans or super slims. The fit and function is great on these. you wont go wrong with these. fabric seems alittle heavier than other pants from other manufacturers making a similar pant, fabric is alittle thicker which makes these more ammune to rips and tears in the back country. These are still very confortable and lite weight

Best Convertible Pants IÂ’ve ever had
January 02, 2012
Mountain Khakis scored big with the Granite Creek Convertibles. The Shorts are above the knee, and the pant length doesnÂ’t drag the ground with boots or even trail runner shoes. The zippered pockets are huge for me as IÂ’m wary of my passport or worse falling out when IÂ’m inside trucks, helos, planes and camels... Solid pants. My first MK purchase, definitely not my last.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Cons: CostCan we say "Best Pants Ever?"

I bought these pants for my boyfriend who just fell in LOVE with them. He usually just wears shorts but when hiking in dense woods, he always wears pants. These pants are the best of both worlds for him. He also used to complain about the discomfort across his knees where the zipper of other convertible pants rub when zipped but MK did an awesome job of creating comfort in this area too. They took notice of all details and created a pant that I know I will get requests for during holidays, birthdays, etc. And honestly, the $80.00 is well worth it when the product is of such high quality like MK's!

Solid
March 15, 2011
Positive: Fit well (little big in the waist but good belt loops) and run true to size (M-34" Inseam 30"--I'm 5'9" and 160 lbs). Material is heavier than Columbia's which is very thin but slightly lighter than North Face's heavier convertiable pant. Pockets are well designed. Seams look durable. Zips are plastic but seem good. Negative: Cuffs are flared out excesivly (like bellbottoms). Even with the bulkiest hiking boots, the cuffs are wide. The outseams have zippers for convertable removal with boots on so one wonders why the cuffs are so wide. I may resort to taping the cuffs so flared out bottoms don't catch material on hikes. Not a big deal but a slight distraction if you bushwack.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Great value, Cons: flared legMountain Khakis Men's Granite Creek Convertible Pants Photo
