Great for Outdoors work or play
November 28, 2012
Pants fit well and are great for outdoors work, play -- hiking, etc. The only down side is that after they are washed you have to stretch the seems back into place or they tend to wrinkle up. If you don't mind doing that, they are a great pant.
Pros: Great design, Performance, Great value, Cons: seems pulls up when washed and must be pulled outAwesome pants, exactly what I was searching for!!

I was looking for a pair of non-convertible backpacking pants to replace some old North Face convertibles that I've worn on many trips. These pants are great! Comfortable & roomy enough, but, not overly baggy and cumbersome. The material is soft but doesn't appear to be fragile. I can't wait to get them on the trails for a true test. I don't have any worries that they can perform though.
Great Hiking and climbing pants!

I have bought 2 pairs of theses pants thus far. They are obviously well made, comfortable and durable. The zippered pockets are perfect for keeping valuables safe while crossing rough terrain. I am about to buy a third pair,

Great fitting and well made pants. The description of the pants was very accurate and represented the pants perfectly. The pants are a made from a slightly heavier nylon that makes them feel like your favorite pair of jeans, only much lighter.
Pros: Great design, Build qualityThere are better choices in this catagory

The quality of construction lives up to the name, price and previous reviews. However, the fit and design need improvement. The cut thru the seat and thigh are slim fitting, more suited for athletic or skinny builds. The cargo pocket is laughable - barely big enough for a wallet. And the hidden zipper pocket inside the cargo pocket is not good for more than a post-it note or some money. The regular pockets have a good slash angle and are deep enough. Belt loops are well placed and functional. I would recommend this for thin folks but for most who are on the husky side or just like a little more breathing room, there are other brands better suited to you. Ultimately, they are worth giving a try but go up a size in the waist. The length is true to size.
Pros: Build quality, Cons: Cost, athletic cutDid you recently buy the Mountain Khakis Granite Creek Pants? Write a review.

Excellent pair of pants. I purchased a pair of Pine colored Granite Creek pants last October to wear during a week long mountaineering course in Colorado and couldn't believe how well they fit no matter the obstacle! For beginner's level rock climbing these pants stretched just enough in the right places and didn't bunch in the places that cause a man pain. For the mountaineering they worked just as well, wicking the moisture caused by long uphill switchbacks they were occasionally in several feet of snow. Wouldn't recommend for winter weather, but for cool fall days they were awesome.

This was a great purchase. I used them hiking/camping and worked well. The only negative I had is that the pants seem to get a little baggy the more I hiked. The held up well after a long weekend. I was very impressed with the warmth these pants provided at night but how cool they kept me during the day when it was a little warmer.

These pants are exceptionally comfortable and durable. The best part is the softness of the heavyweight nylon, making them as comfortable as cotton, in addition to being sturdier than most other hiking pants. The fit feels (and looks) great, offering just enough room for unrestricted movement without being too baggy. My waist is right around 32", and they fit exactly, however the pants didn't have much give to them (because of the reinforced waistband), so I got the 33" for some extra room.
