Men's Original Mountain Pants 4.7 5 100 100
All Men Order Now My husband loves these pants. They are a khaki pant which comes in many colors and has a little character. Pockets and bottom of pants are different and stylish. Very durable and husband says extremely comfortable. He plans to buy more in different colors.Excellent choice in mens's pants. January 20, 2012
This is my second pair of Mountain Khakis. These pants are as advertised they look good from the board room to the trail. In my job I need to look professional and have clothing that will withstand just about any conditions, these pants fit that bill perfectly. January 6, 2012
Great pants These pants are very well made. I like the fabric and the construction. They are built to last. They seemed stiff when I got them, but softened as they were washed. The care is easy. Just what I need. They may run a little small in the waist and a little long. Great pants will buy more. Thanks !!!! January 3, 2012
durable pant mountain pant fits much differently than teton twill pant. mountain pant is much baggier than the teton twill pant. the teton twill pant shrunk much more than the mountain pant has, which has stayed much more true to size to when bought. December 11, 2011
Size not accurate These pants came in as I ordered them just fine, but their version of a 36x34 is way different than I'm used to. Pants were at least two inches bigger in each dimension, just like other reviewers stated. They seemed high quality though. Altrecs return policy made it no issue. December 5, 2011
Great design, poor quality control The review title is harsh, I know, but bear with me. I already owned 1 pair of Original Mtn Pants and a pair of Teton Twill pants from Mtn Khaki and have been very happen with them. The only issue I had was that the 34" waist on the OMPs seemed a bit small, so I ordered a couple pair of 35" waist from Altrec since nobody else locally had them. I received them and tried them on and they seemed OK, but not a huge improvement. So I wore them once and washed them once and wow did they shrink. Both pair are tagged 35 x 34 (waist/length) After washing I measured them and one pair now measures 33" waist and 31 1/2 length and the other pair measures close to true to size in the waist but 32" inseam. I contacted MK and was told they have had some issues with what their various contract factories (in Asia) consider acceptable tolerance and they are working to resolve this issue. That said, my single pair of MK Teton Twill Pants fit perfectly and are actually exactly true to size, even after being washed. November 9, 2011
Heavy Duty Pants These are some heavy duty pants. They fit better than jeans if you have muscular thighs. I wear them mainly for riding my Harley....Like Jeans... only better! The odd size waist fits me perfectly! November 8, 2011
Great Pants These pants can be worn to work as long as you are not a banker and then in the trout stream later that afternoon. They last for ever and only get better after each wash. October 27, 2011
High Quality After reading many reviews on these I finally gave them a try. I am very pleased with the fit, style & overall quality. At age 45 I needed a brake from jeans / carhartt type pants. These are now a first choice to put on ( anytime ). Sizing is very true. Thanks Altrec !!! October 18, 2011
Tough Unique These pants are stiff and tough but with the fine quality weave, still don’t feel too bulky to wear. As work-like as they are, the style is great to be worn in a casual setting, not just the outdoors. I normally wear a 34x30 which can run up the leg when sitting, so I ordered that size fir these pants; the inseam could not be more perfect, staying at a nice length and the legs are not to baggy if you wear this size at a very fitted style. If any issue at all, it’s the waist, which at this size, is very tight on me. The problem is that I tried on a 35x30 and they completely swallowed my legs and waist. They are a great pair of pants, but I also recommend fabric softener in the wash and dryer in order to keep them from becoming terribly wrinkled. So with a little care, if you don’t mind wearing them in a fitted style, I would recommend these pants-they are as nice as they appear on line! June 1, 2011
Great Pant, but runs too small These pants are really comfortable! They fit loose, with plenty of room in the leg and around the openings. At first, they come pretty stiff. But after a couple of washes, the material gets much softer. My only complaint was having to send back an order because of both quality control and sizing. Though, first let me say that the quality is excellent. The pants are tough and will definitely withstand some abuse. Where the quality control issue comes in is with the mis-labeling of a certain sizes. I ordered a 34 / 34 and they sent me something closer to a 34 / 30 with one of the pairs. With regards to sizing, from my orders and others' reviews, order one or two sizes up. I am 6' 2'' and 195 lb and I fit a 34 / 34. With these I definitely had to go with a 36 / 34. These pants are much more expensive than most, but with these you'll get what you pay for. They are worth the price. April 30, 2011
Excellent quality I have several pairs of Mountain Khakis and have never once been unhappy with them. The quility is unquestionable and they strike a great balance between being able to work hard outdoors or in the office. They are soft enough after the first wash to be comfortable and only get better from there. They do run a little bit smaller than some brands. All in all, an excellent product. April 11, 2011
I know, I know... Yes, they're expensive... and worth every nickle. Great fit, bullet-proof costruction, details you have to see to appreciate. Try 'em, you'll agree. I'm now a believer! April 4, 2011
Great pants! If you're looking for a casual pant that will stand up to abuse like a bullet-proof vest, look no further. These pants have a slightly baggy fit including a cuff that is a little larger than usual. After wearing and washing 6-8 times you'll really find out what these pants are about. The fit improves and fabric feels softer. These are GREAT pants! March 24, 2011
Too Big This is my 5th pair of MK's and I have had good luck, unlike some others, with sizing and quality control. They do usually run a little bit small. I usually wear a size 32X30 in almost every other brand. I always purchase 33X30 in the MK brand and have had no problem at all. This last pair of 33X30 were closer to a 35X32. Not even close. I guess my luck ran out. They are great pants and I will try again, but I am a little leary of ordering online now. Expensive pants get more expensive when you have to pay return shipping. March 15, 2011
GREAT Pants!!! I have worn another brand of cotton canvas pants for years without knowing what I was missing. A friend recommended that I give Mountain Khakis a try and I have been thrilled with them since the day I got them. They are very durable and very comfortable with a really cool second thigh pocket on the right side. Keep in mind that their fit is a little peculiar, I needed to go up one size in the waist and down one size on the inseam. After I found the right fit I couldn't be happier!! Thanks Mountain Khaki and Altrec!! February 14, 2011
OK pair of pants I like the fit of these pants. They feel a little rough, not as "soft" as the product description says. They also are hard to get wrinkles out of after washing. They are a little pricey. I wish they came in odd lengths like 31 in. Overall though I would recommend these pants. I like the way they fit and they seem to be fairly tough. February 11, 2011
GREAT PANTS A little stiff at first, and pricey, but very durable. I use these for every day, as well as hiking, camping, off roading, working with my dogs, and brushbusting. February 9, 2011
great pants great pants.. im 5'11 195 and wear 33x32. Fit perfect. Better than carhartt. They are casual enough to wear out on jobsite but professional enough to wear to a meeting. Love them February 8, 2011
Best Pants I've ever bought. These are the best fitting, most durable yet comfortable pants that i've ever owned. My wardrobe is primarily Mountain Khaki and Jeans. They come in different styles and type of material, but the Original Mountain Pant is the best by far for an all around great pant. The front pockets are by far the greatest pockets on the market. The reinforced heel area and the way the gusset is sewn are other great features about the pants, but I'm sure theres more. I would recommend to anyone who needs a good, reliable pair of pants. January 19, 2011
Excellent Quality and Fit I have decided that I whenever I need a new pair of pants, I will look for Mountain Khakis. I have just purchased pairs number four and five. Love the quality, fit, and styling of these pants. Can't go wrong! December 29, 2010
these are good pants These pants seem very well built. The waist size runs small - I recommend getting one size up from what you normally wear. The length runs long - I recommend one size down from what you normally wear. December 29, 2010
BEST pants! Soft and durable. Comfort and fit perfect. Worth every penny! You should buy these pants and you will enjoy wearing them for years to come. December 23, 2010
Best pants ever! Mountain Khakis are the best pants that I have ever owned. They are perfect to wear to work and perfect to wear out on a hike in the woods. Wonderful fit and top-notch fabric and construction. Buy a pair and you will be happy that you did! December 6, 2010
Great Pant These pants will last forever. Very durable and fit great. Definitely recommend! December 5, 2010
Great Pants I love these pants. I wear them everywhere. Around the house, fishing, and even in to work at times. They look great and are high quality. My only complaint is that they fit a little tight in the waist. I would recommend ordering a size larger than what you actually wear. Other than that, great pants! December 5, 2010
long legs and more Do you know how hard it is to find a 36" inseam in a pair of thoughtful backwoods worthy goodness? These pants are perfect out of the bag and even better after a few washes. The attention to design, materials and manufacture is self evident. I am relatively new to Mountain Khakis but now use and abuse 6 pair, canvas and corduroy, in the city and the country. Long legs or not these pants are done right. December 5, 2010
great purchase have ordered more pairs. wear working on the boat, wear walking the dogs, even wear to the office. not expensive for what they are. November 27, 2010
Great pants Longtime Carhartt wearer upgraded to MKs and happy that I did. Same great durability and generous, comfortable fit with a more refined look. Will definitely be ordering more! November 24, 2010
Great casual pants, excellent value I like casual pants that can still take some abuse and that I don't have to change if I need to do some work or just venture out into the woods. These are very durable, well-made, and comfortable. And they are at an excellent price for the quality. November 24, 2010
recommend with reservations Very comfortable. I love the fabric and the build quality. Be careful with the fit, though. They are very tight in the waist and very loos in the seat and thighs, which makes them roomy and easy to move in. November 17, 2010
Best outdoor pants period Comfortable, durable, stylish . . . I would wear these pants everyday if I could. Plenty of crotch room. Wide leg openings to fit over boots. November 15, 2010
The waist runs a little small for me, for pants of this quality and price they should have either elastic or some other type of adjustment November 10, 2010
Great quality, easy ordering! These pants are rugged enough to stand up to bad weather and tough projects. November 10, 2010
great construction very well made, just wish they were a slight bit more "relaxed fit", as an athlete my thighs arent quite in proportion to my waist. November 8, 2010
Durable and comfortable I really like the fit of these pants. They are very true to size so I ordered one waist size up so they are a little loose (which I like). I also like how well they are made. They feel very durable and the stitching is very high quality. One of my favorite features is the double front pockets. I would definitely recommend these pants to anyone looking for a very durable and comfortable khaki. November 2, 2010
Confidence Inspiring Pants Excellent quality. Waist fit a little tighter than I thought it should, but not a big deal. I feel like I could make these pants my go-to fieldwork pans for weeks on end. Excellent quality, but def. not 'breathable.' November 1, 2010
Never Change Pants Again! I am an active hiker, mountain climber, snowboarder...general outdoorsman, but during the week I work for a large corporation. This is the first pant that I have ever found that I can wear from the trail, to the office. It is unbelievable. Comfy, good-looking, very, very, very true to size, durable, practical...I could go all day. Because I play hard, I usually go through two pairs of pants a year - I am talking durable, solid pants. I have had my pair of MK Originals for close to three years now, and not only do they look like I got them yesterday, I don't imagine I will wear them out for another two years, minimum. You don't have to fuss about washing them regularly, and as someone who cares a good deal about the color of his clothing, what you see in the picture is what you get. They are very true to color. Price is high, but considering this one pair will outlast 3-4 other pairs of pants, it is very, very economical in the long haul. If you are even considering buying these pants, even if you aren't, buy them. I still can't believe more people don't know about Mountain Khakis. - Mike November 1, 2010
Tight waist Mountain khakis are comfortable, relatively durable pants. They look good and can sneak by either in the office or in the field. In my experience the sizing can vary quite a bit from pair to pair and the waist sizes are generally a bit tighter than expected, especially after the first wash/shrink (I order 1" bigger in the waist). October 30, 2010
Very Comfortable The pants fit well. I will order 1 size bigger just because of the size of my legs. These are great pants to sit around the house or hunting the hills. October 6, 2010
Great Pair of Pants I love these pants. I have three pairs. They are very versatile. I use them both for work and camping, hiking and cutting the grass on the weekend. I love the way the pants fit and quality is outstanding. They are a great alternative to jeans...much more durable and comfortable. My only gripe is that the color tends to fade over time. October 6, 2010
love my mountain khakis Mountain Khakis are probably one of the best pair of pants one can buy in terms of good looks, durability, and quality of material. I have purchased many Mountain Khaki products from Altrec over the past couple of years and have always been very satisfied. The only thing I would advise is order one size up from what you think you wear; generally they run about a half size or so small. October 3, 2010
Too long! I will still give these pants a great review overall, but...The sizing seems to have changed since I bought my first pair of MK's. I purchased the same size (36 x 32) but they are significantly longer now. I will have to return the pants and get (36 x 30). They are great pants though, and I will order them again, just shorter. September 23, 2010
bell bottoms! did not expect such a flare, my husband won't wear them... and they are very baggy in fit too September 12, 2010
Very comfortable Much more comfortable than expected and just the right weight to be tough but wearable in the summer. August 26, 2010
Pricey, but worth it These pants have replaced my well-worn Carhartt's, and I don't think I'll go back. Nice job, Mountain Khakis! August 24, 2010
Good Color/Great Fit Yellowstone color was as advertised and fit is perfect. Pants don't shrink in length when washed. August 4, 2010
Excellent pants and excellent fit. Bought these just prior to a 2 week trip to France that combined work and play. They were perfect. July 22, 2010
Nice Pants Fit Well, Very durable material. July 21, 2010
Great pants Love the MK product and have purchased many pants over the last 10 years. I received a defective size the other month and MK replaced it with no questions. Great company too! July 21, 2010
Great price Good quality product and a great price. Service was fast with no shipping charge. July 15, 2010
Comfortable and durable. This pant is definitely durable because of special stitching pattern they use. I also feel comfortable. I would recommend this. July 14, 2010
Best Fit Mountain Khakis are the most comfortable, yet durable pants in memory. I'll definitely get more of them. July 6, 2010
A Great Product That Wears Well These are durable reliable pants. You'll wear them until they fray, and then a bit beyond. June 15, 2010
Best pants out there I love these Mtn. Khakis, as they are my favorite pants by far. I wear them to work and during the weekend. These pants are perfect for any casual occasion. June 10, 2010
Great Britches!! Soft, comfortable, and a great fit. I love the secret pocket May 31, 2010
Great Pants I am 6' 5" and have a difficult time finding good quality - long pants. These pants in a 36 length are plenty long and have a low rise due to special stitching pattern they use. I have since purchased each color! May 21, 2010
Best Pant This is the best pant ever! The fit is perfect. This is the toughest pant that I have ever seen. May 13, 2010
Excellent Value. Very Well Made Pants These pants are very well made and fit well. They are durable and comfortable. They are my new favorite pants. April 30, 2010
Great fit, great movement These pants have a good fit - I usually wear a 34 waist and the 35 fits me well. My leg size is typically 32, and I thought the alpine utility pants were a little short in 32 (I don't think so anymore; I think they just have a normal break) so I got the 34 leg in these pants. The 34 is way too long. Otherwise, they fit very loose but look great and the range of movement is second to none. April 6, 2010
Best pants ever these pants are great. True to size, great look and wear like iron. Teton twill pants are great to wear to dinner or just knock around. March 22, 2010
I'll be ordering more soon! Nice casual look with tough as nails construction. I wear these things everywhere. Absolutely great quality! March 22, 2010
Really Nice Pants I already had a pair of these Mountain Khakis and loved the way the fit and the way they felt. My wife said they looked good too. So, I ordered another pair through Altrec. Very fast service and the free shipping was nice too. March 19, 2010
Great fit Fits true to size and great fit and feel. February 23, 2010
Excellent product Mountain Khakis are great! They fit true to size and will last forever. I own two pairs of OMPs and one pair of Teton Twill. They look great and are comfortable. Plus, you don't need to iron them - they don't wrinkle! February 22, 2010
Great outdoors pant The pants are canvas style. 32x30 was true to size. The kick plate material on back of pant legs at heal don't really serve a purpose except to increase the cost of alterations. 32x29 would have been the ideal size for me. February 15, 2010
The casual pant I've been searching for Perfect rise for me - right at my navel. I can't wear pants that ride on my hips. I found the size to be true and they washed up beautifully. Altrec is one of the few places carrying odd numbered waist sizes. Wish they came in odd inseam lengths as well. Excellent workmanship. I expect them to last forever. February 11, 2010
Rugged yet Refined These pants are quite amazing. At first I was skeptical, but these pants hold up as well as any Carhartts while looking much better! I highly recommend them and am considering buying another pair in perhaps Granite. February 4, 2010
I love my new Mountain Khakis. I love the fit and the look. I am comfortable in the Original Mountain Khakis at work, play or a casual party. January 30, 2010
Really HIGH rise The seat rise of the pants is very very very high. I bought these original mtn pants because of how much I love the fit Mountain Khakis original mountain jeans. The two are totally different. The seat of the original mountain pants is cut generously, and when I try to flex my hip, my motion feels restricted because the crotch is riding way too low. The only way to avoid this sense of restriction is if I pull the pants way up and wear them above my belly button. I'm a young guy, and I don't want to be wearing my pants with suspenders like my grandpa did. The construction and finish of the pants seems top notch, and the waist seemed true to size. I returned them due to the super-high rise. I wish the cut was less restrictive since I tend to be an active person. January 30, 2010
Great Pants Great tough pants. A nice alternative to casual jeans. Very comfortable after washing. I would echo the previous reviews recommending ordering a size up. Mine shrunk some with washing. January 25, 2010
Wear like Iron..... Comfy as Sheepskin These pants will outlast you, yet are soft & comfortable brand new. They do seem to run a bit small. They are superior. January 21, 2010
Great Pants! Super Tough! I felt these pants where true to size, I read other reviews that said they ran small, I wear 32w and they fit just fine. Love the quality of the pants, much better than most products nowadays. Will be buying another pair. January 17, 2010
Very durable; high quality Excellent choice for rugged outdoor activities. January 16, 2010
Fit is true to size. Quality of workmanship is good. Pants work for yardwork, casual outings, and lounge around the house. January 15, 2010
