Outstanding Quality
February 25, 2012
As expected from Mountain Khakis, my first two pairs of Teton Twill pants were very comfortable right out of the box, and the quality is second to none. They do run a tad on the small side, which is characteristic of Mountain Khakis, so be sure to take that into account. I normally where 31 or 32 waist, and 33 fit perfect. Looking forward to a lot of good years of wear out of these pants at work and play.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Cons: CostGreat pants!
April 27, 2012
These pants are great! I got them as replacements for Dockers khakis and really like them. The only complaint I have is that I have to get them hemmed as the inseam (30"# is way too long. Also, I would recommend going up a size as it seems that these tend to run a little small. I've tried some on in stores that fit perfectly for my size #33#, and others are pretty tight. So when ordering, I go one size bigger. Can't really comment on the durability as I've only had them a few months, but I know other people who have had great experience.
Pros: Great design, Build qualityThese Khakis are Amazing!
April 02, 2012
I absolutely love these Khakis! They are durable, rugged, comfortable, stylish and fit great. I wear them in the outdoors as well as in the office with a polo. I am 6 ft. tall at 220 lbs. and I purchased a 38x34 and they fit perfect. I would definitely recommend these to any outdoor enthusiast.

My husband's favorite
September 16, 2012
I got some Mountain Khaki pants for my husband after I had a pair of women's Mountain Khakis and just loved them. He likes his about as well as I like mine! I don't know what it is about Mountain Khakis, but they are the most comfortable pants around. We highly recommend them!
Pros: Great designTeton Comfortable
February 27, 2012
I have other pairs of MK pants and these by far the the most comfortable. I have good size thighs and they are roomy and do not bind or ride up when doing all type of choirs and driving.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Great valueMountain Khakis work for me
February 28, 2012
These twill pants look good and are well made. I like the deep pockets and the fact that there is a bonus pocket for my cell phone. The twill material is durable and all seams are reinforced. There were no surprises and the pants fit as described. This is my first pair of Mountain Khakis but I already plan to buy more for my semi-casual workplace.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, stylishBest khakis on the market

I wear khakis almost everyday, and these are the best pants that I have ever purchased. Great looking, very durable and super fit.

Best Ever
January 24, 2011
I have heard a lot of good things about mountain khakis. I now believe all of it. These are by far the best everyday pants I have ever put on, and that goes for work and casual wear. I would recommend these pants to everyone.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great valueComfortable
May 06, 2013
Very comfortable and a nice weight, not heavy. On waist size, I usually order a 36 because I like things loose. MK's 36 waist is a little tighter than most; not a problem, but I wouldn't want them to shrink. If in doubt on waist, order next size up.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of useGreat pants for casual wear job!
February 07, 2011
Bought my first pair of these pants over a year ago. I now own 10-12 pair. I rarely wear anything except these pants. Great for activities/outdoor fun with my children, but also nice enough to wear to work. Very durable and very comfortable pants. The Teton twills have a nicer, finer weave and a more tailored fit than the Original Mountain Khaki pant. Well made! -- The pants that I first purchased are still in great shape despite dozens of washings!
Pros: Great design, Build quality, PerformanceFebruary 02, 2012
Great pants. Nice to have gusset crotch and relaxed thighs, hard to find these two together. I wear MKs to work everyday, either Teton Twill or Cords.
Pros: Great design, Performance, Cons: CostExactly what I have been looking for!
May 16, 2010
I have been looking for a pair of pants exactly like these... with no luck. I wanted a pant that was in between a blue jean and a dress khaki. I first saw these in a local outdoor store, but they did not have my size. They told me that they did come in size 36" length but that they did not carry those. I am tall, so it is not surprising to me to get this response. But at least MK made these in my length so all I had to do was find them online! Altrec was my answer and I love the pants. They are good looking, totally functional, and super comfortable. Thanks Altrec and MK!
Love them
April 19, 2010
My guy wears these pants all of the time now. He was a complete jeans guys before, but now we have ordered 3 pairs on these.
even better than expected
July 22, 2010
I had a pair of "originals" and liked them enough to give these a try. I'm a relatively long-legged, middle-aged guy (w 34, l 34) i was worried these might be too short, but they seem to be perfect after a washing. nice material, cool pocket-behind-a-pocket. look like they'll last about 30 years. Delivery was fast, too. . .

great pants
December 20, 2010
After purchasing the MK cottonwood cords, which are the most comfortable pants ever, i had to give the Teton Twill's a try. They had the same quality construction and fit. The Teton Twill was not as small as the cords but still ran a little snug. I usually wear a 32" waist and opted for the 33". The pants did show a little shrinkage after the first couple of washes so it is a good idea to order up a size. The length is pretty true to size. The pants are loose fitting with a generous leg opening, great for boots but takes a little getting used too. Overall a really comfortable, great looking pant.
Pros: Build qualityGreat outdoor pants!
March 30, 2011
These are by far the best outdoor pants I've purchased. I've spent a lot of time working outside, whether for work or home. Often I've bought pants on others recommendations, only to be disappointed. Mountain Khaki pants fit great, wear just about right, and are made durable enough to handle just about any type of work outdoors. They're fairly thick, but breathable and cool enough to wear all year round. They do run a bit big, but nothing a belt wouldn't fix. And they drape over your boots just about right. I'm definitely purchasing a few more of these in the near future!
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of usestrange fit
September 23, 2009
I ordered these pants as I was unable to find what I thought was my size in stores. I am 6'5" and often find pants to be too short. I ordered the 36" inseam as I thought the pants must run short if they offer this length as other comparable brands only offer 34" inseams. When I received the pants the length was way too long and the crotch hangs down really low. I am now in the process of sending the pants back and trying another length 34". Overall, the pants appear to be very well constructed and are more professional than other canvas type offerings. I purchased these pants based on the other great reviews, however none mentioned any issues with fit.

Great pants
April 13, 2010
These pants are extremely comfortable and overall fit well. I feel like the are a hair longer than most of my pants the same size, so you may have to get them hemmed an inch from your normal size. I wouldn't go two inches shorter though; I did this and they were too short on my first purchase of these pants
Great Quality!
July 06, 2009
These pants are very well made and are so comfortable. My husband has 3 pair of them and really enjoys wearing them. Great quality!
Just bought more
November 05, 2010
I have owned three pairs of MK for the past 2 years and they have been very durable and reliable, so I decided to purchase four more pairs. They are comfortable and feel great when working, hiking, or lounging around. Altrec's service was great and I'll continue to purchase my outdoor gear from them.

Great Pant
September 05, 2011
These pants are great. A little baggier than I had hoped, but still plenty sharp enough for the average 9-5'er. But I've found that they are so comfortable that they have for the most part replaced all my more casual pants. Nice to have the lower hem re-inforced and I love the double pocket on the right, which in my mind is more useful than a set of cargo pockets. The weight of the cotton is good year round. Nothing needs to be change.
Pros: Build quality, Lasts forever, Cons: CostQuality workmanship in a great-fitting, versatile pant.
July 04, 2010
Great fit. Pockets lay flat, legs not too baggy. Perfect pants for casual wear, hiking in spring and fall, travel. Quality workmanship, great value.

These are great looking pants. Excellent quality, will last for many years. Great for office as well as for outdoors.
The only pants in my closet
May 14, 2011
I now own 6 pair of Mountain Khakis, so I can wear them every day. The gusset makes them the most comfortable pants for an all day drive or active wear, and triple stitching means they'll last forever. I'm 6'2" and 250 pounds, and athletic, so it's diffcult to find a great fit, but MKs are the best I've found.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Great valueOutstanding pants - bulletproof
October 14, 2009
These MK khakis let you look professional yet feel comfortable. I wear these pants every chance I get - they fit more "true to size" than the mountain pants. Finish and quality is excellent - you pay a bit more but they are worth it. Altrec is fantastic to deal with . . .
Great pair of pants
September 28, 2009
Got to wear these the day after I recieved them. Very comfortable and look nice as well. I have a trip up to the mountains coming up and can't wait to have another reason to wear them!
Awesome Pants!
February 10, 2010
I bought my first pair of these and had to have some more. They fit well and are as tough as nails. I'll definitely be back for more if these ever wear out.
Best pants ever!
December 06, 2010
Mountain Khakis are the best pants that I have ever owned. They are perfect to wear to work and perfect to wear out on a hike in the woods. Wonderful fit and top-notch fabric and construction. Buy a pair and you will be happy that you did!
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Cons: runs a little longShrinks a bit
March 06, 2011
Excellent pants with one drawback, they seem to shrink after one washing. I purchased these for my husband and he swears by them. They look great for casual business wear, and are just as suited for a multi-day hike. The reinforced cuff is a nice touch and the gusseted crotch make it very flexible and comfortable. If you prefer to wear your trousers a bit on the longer side, you'll need to order a size longer. While the tag says it is pre-washed to minimize shrinkage, the pair I washed certainly shrunk much more than I would have expected. Overall, however, a top notch pair of pants and I'll certainly be buying more.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Cons: shrinks after washingClassic pants
January 03, 2010
I own several pairs of Mountain Khakis. When I want to look good I grab the Teton Twill, when I want to go casual for a drink and an appetizer, Teton Twill! Dress up, dress down, out on the trail, these pants are great anywhere! This is the only brand of pants I wear! They are tough, true to size, and hold up great after months of wear and washing. If you don't own a pair you should try them out, it will cost you a little money, but they will pay for themselves after a few wears!
April 22, 2011
These pants are extremely comfortable. They fit well. The gusset allows ample freedom of movement. The pants are nice enough to wear to work, which I do. Their only drawback is their tendency to wrinkle. This is not a problem in the original Mountain Pants, likely due to their sturdier material.

Very comfortable, durable pants

These are exactly what I was hoping for when I placed my order. Much more durable than typical khakis and more comfortable too. I'm very happy.

April 13, 2010
Really like these pants so far. Great cut, fit perfect, appear to be very versatile, and I can tell they are very well made.
Good all round pant
July 22, 2010
Comfy - stylish - versatile - well made - good bang for the buck! ...if ya want a good mountain oriented pant this is a good one! my gal-pal seems to approve of my "Hiney" in these as well ... and that says a lot right there!
heavey-duty but fancy
March 12, 2010
This pair is a perfect one to wear both for casual occasions and some formal situations. I have another one to wear for my work and on weekend. I love this pair and thus I bought another in different color. What I'm worried is I may be seduced to buy another pair in either the same color or in different one.

Love to wear these pants casually or even to dress up a bit. They are warm and the quality is second to none.
Pros: Great design, Build qualityGreat pants, great price

The best value considering that they are more expensive in local stores. Great look, great fit and enjoyed by the 3 men in my home. Would purchase again. Corduroys are excellent as well though a different style.

April 05, 2010
These are very good pants albeit a bit expensive. I guess these pants are proof of the maxim "You get what you pay for." They're very long-wearing. The waist sizing and length is accurate.
Very durable

These pants filled a need to bridge working at a mountain resort and going to meetings in the city very well. Comfortable.
Love these pants!
April 04, 2010
My boyfriend worked at a gearshop in Columbia, MO a long time ago and got his first pair of these pants. He was hooked! He was able to sell these to customers because he didn't have to stretch the truth about their durability, comfort and overall satisfaction! I just got him a new pair because after 5 years, he finally needed one.

I bought these for my boyfriend who never wears anything but jeans and he loves them. We will be ordering another pair soon!
Mountain Khaki seams
August 05, 2011
Love the pants - great fit, durable. Only concern is the seams on the back hem have a tendency to blow out pretty quickly, which negates having that extra fabric there in the 1st place; the quick fix is to take them in and double up on the seams as soon as you get them. Have had same problem now on 3 pairs with different fabric types.
Pros: Great design, Performance, Cons: workmanship not in line with rest of the productLove this product
December 03, 2010

Teton Twill pants
May 28, 2012
These pants have a nice heavyweight (but not *too* heavyweight) fabric that feels good. The gusset in the crotch allows excellent freedom of leg movement yet doesn't bunch up. Good office pants with a hint of outdoorsiness.

November 23, 2010
They are great. The only thing that i would look out for is that one pair i have shrunk in the washer and the other pair did not?? not really sure what the issue is, but they fit just a little tighter.

Great balance between field and office
February 15, 2010
Pants are durable w/o being stiff and uncomfortable. I can wear them to the office or in the field. They fit true to size but seem to run a bit long. They will shrink some after the first wash and machine dry. Wish they offered more colors.
These are my favorite pants
March 16, 2010
The new ones I just purchased are not as heavy as my old ones. The material is thinner. The fit and finish seems just as good as my old ones. I am happy with them.
How often to you really get excited about pants!
January 07, 2011
These pants were a gift to my husband. The fit is excellent. It is hard to find rugged pants in a 35 waist. He liked them so much he wore them for the next six days straight. This includes trips to the office and working in the yard. They still looked great when I insisted they be thrown in the wash. There are more Mountain Khaki's in our future. Highly recommend and will buy again.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, good fitBest fitting pants I've ever purchased
November 01, 2011
These just arrived so I've had a change to wash them and wear them a couple of times. When I say the fit is the best, I mean that quite seriously. I have a 30" waist and invariably all pants, from jeans to chinos, to dress slacks of size 30 fit more like they are 31 or 32" waist bands. When I bend forward there is usually a large portion of the pant that pulls away from the lower back. Not so with these Mountain Khakis. The gusseted crotch relieves typical tightness and binding. I haven't had them long enough to speak to their durability, but they are said to last forever. They are at the higher end price wise, so hopefully that is true. I tried a few other similar pants but all were too casual for my needs, looking more like jeans made with the twill material, than casual chinos.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Cons: CostBest Pants I've Worn
December 01, 2010
These pants are very, very comfortable. They are nice pants that will look great in any situation from church to working on the farm. The diamond crotch adds comfort. The extra pocket is nice as well. I wish I had discovered these pants years ago.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Ease of use, Great valueGreat value and style!

A little less stiff than the original mountain khaki. But just as hard wearing.
Fantastic All-around Pant
September 14, 2009
I've a couple pairs of MKs and they are a fantastic general wear pant. Folks have been quoted as claiming you can go from mountain trail to the dinner table and that's quite true. They are roomy, yet the fabric is heavy enough, (not too heavy), that they resist wrinkling and maintain their shape well. I highly recommend them.

Still good but not like the original
March 09, 2010
Purchased some extra pants while on sale but decided to return them: The main difference in the newer pants is in the front pockets - They used to be straight across the bottom, effectively adding a good deal of carry space to help keep your change, keys, pocket knife, etc. from trying to get out when you are seated - Now they are rounded off, making them shallower. Furthermore, the new retro khaki is not as retro as earlier versions (now lighter); the grossgrain ribbon lining the waist appears cheaper than that used in earlier pants; the thread used for the seams appears lighter in weight than on earlier pants. You would think at this price point, once it is right, they could leave it that way.
