warm and comfortable
December 09, 2010

I have purchased four pairs of these pants. They are comfortable and warm. The material is thick so, the pants are good for the fall and winter wear. I agree with the other reviews in that the slate blue color is more of a grey/black color and the berry is more of a cranberry color. The pants wash well, minimal shrinkage. I hang dry so I do not know if the pants would shrink after machine dried. I had to order one size down from my normal size as stated under the "specifications" info and the pants fit well.

Pros: Build quality, Cons: Cost

Great cords!
January 16, 2010

These pants are soft and comfortable. The material is thick and good quality. I ordered a size smaller than normal as they suggest to do and it was a bit too tight in the waist, so I exchanged it for my normal size and it fits great.

These cords move with me and are so soft!
January 09, 2010

I bought my actual size because I like winter pants to not be too fitting. I'm actually a 30 inseam so they're a tad long but with boots I may be ok, or I'll shorten them. I love the color and am dancing around the house in them minutes after FedX dropped them off!

great fit

cordy
October 05, 2010

These are certainly cordy pants! They have a nice stretch and are loose through the thigh, but they fit me in the butt. I usually wear a 6-8 regular inseam, and with the 6 reg. in these I can wear my clogs without looking silly. Normally a thrift store shopper, it was fun to get a new pair of cords! So soft and thick!!! Oh and I second that they are a VERY dark blue.

Sylish and Comfortable
February 18, 2011

I purchased the MK cords last year and was throughly impressed with the high quality of the cordoroy. This year's version has a great degisn and is very comforatable, however, I was a little disapponted that the cordoroy this year was not as thick and does not have the same sheen. Also, I normally wear a 4 or 6, and had reorder a size 2.

High waist, wide leg
January 06, 2011

These pants fit very comfortably! The thing is, the waist is super high, like right under the belly button - it's comfortable, but not my style. Same goes for the baggy, wide legs - I don't like anything super tight, but I could fit a leg and a half in each pant leg. Once again, super comfy - great for sitting around and hanging out. These pants fit true to size. I'm 5'5", 125#s, wide hips and small waist. Size 6 was perfect.

Pros: comfortable, Cons: style

Top Quality
January 25, 2011

My husband bought these for me and I wear them all the time. The fit and quality are top notch and they are very warm on cold winter days. I found the sizing to be very accurate but they do stretch some after being worn for an hour or two.

Warm and comfortable
December 21, 2010

The pants are warm, comfortable, and softer than any other corduroy pants i've ever worn. However, the fuzz of the cord is beginning to fray already and I've only worn it once. It could be that I snagged it on something, but have never had that happen to any other pair of corduroys I've ever owned.

Warm cords with active fit
October 08, 2010

These cords fit nicely around the waist and hips, then fall straight to the hem. The legs are a little wider than I'm used to, especially in this era of skinny jeans, but the entire fit is slimming and allows for easy movement. The fabric is soft, warm and washes well. The pants are nicely tailored so they can be worn on a hike and then into town for dinner. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Pros: Great design, Performance, Great value, nice fit, washes well

Love the soft feel of the cord!

Best Pants Ever
March 13, 2011

I have been searching for months for pants that fit me, I'm athletic and tall. All the pants I've tried seemed to be made for someone slimmer and shorter. Finally I found these and they are perfect, not only do they fit a strong, tall woman like me, but they're really well made. So many corduroys now are paper thin, these are thick and warm.

Worth It!
January 23, 2011

As the other reviews have stated, these run a bit on the large size so I ordered a size smaller. I am 5'9" and ordered the long and they are perfect length. They are well constructed. Having a bit of trouble getting the buttons open as the button holes are tight, but can either snip that open with scissors or perhaps it will loosen up over time. All in all, very pleased with these pants!

updated styling is for the birds
December 08, 2010

i love my current mountain khaki cords, which are 2 years old. i was thrilled to see these on sale! but beware, if you think these are the thick-waled, straight-leg version, prepare to be surprised. they are a thin-waled fabric, much lighter, and the leg is very wide...too wide for me, and i'm a skinny 5'7" so can handle a little width. the waistband now buttons on the right side rather than the left side as well. weird. the construction is still top notch and the fabric contains a small amount of stretch, so they will be completely comfortable when wearing. too bad i feel like i'm wearing "elephant pants" when i tried them on. both pairs were sadly returned.

Pros: Build quality, Lasts forever, Cons: Bad design

Love these pants, but really liked the old style better
February 19, 2010

These are the most comfortable pants and the quality is great. My only disappointment is the cut. They have changed it up since the last pair I purchased last year and I definitely preferred the older cut better. It was more of a boot cut as opposed to the newer straight cut. Maybe they can offer two styles next year.

Very comfy
January 17, 2010

These cords are so soft, you feel like you are wearing sweats.

Great pants!
November 24, 2009

I bought these for my wife. She love 'em. I own three pairs of Mountain Khakis myself. They are really comfortable pants. Rugged, comfortable but stylish enough for casual wear to work.

Super comfortable
March 25, 2011

These pants are great. Lovely color, relaxed fit and super comfortable. They were a bit big when they arrived but after a couple of washes they have shrunk true to size. I plan on buying another pair!

Great, Durable
February 22, 2010

I love this pant and have bought 2 pairs. They're warm, look nice enough to wear to work but are as comfortable as jeans! I will say, the sizing is strange; on one pair the 6 fit just right, and on the dark brown pair I required an 8. Still worth the size exchange, but you may want to watch for that.

Super comfortable
January 27, 2010

These are the pants I put on every morning and every evening...they are the ultimate pair of cords. Only drawback was the Berry color was more of a cranberry...they are almost brown. The comfort value wins out over color. Also ordered a size down, and are still roomy.

great cord pants!
January 25, 2010

Good sturdy, warm cords in great colors. They will seem a bit big and long before washing; allow for a little shrinkage. Size is true after washing. Slate Blue is almost black (a plus). Versatile, can dress up or down.

Favorite Trousers
February 02, 2011

I purchased my first pair of MK cottonwood cords two years ago, and loved them so much that this winter I went shopping for a second pair. The new pair fits just as well as the last, and I note that they've even made improvements to the design of the waist. These are comfortable, warm, and attractive Fall and Winter trousers. The blue IS very dark (almost black) but attractive. I'm at the upper range of size 10, pushing 12 in the winter and these 10s fit just fine--they run towards the large end of the size. Best thing about them is they are available in LONG.

Great winter pants
December 06, 2011

These pants are a really nice corduroy that is thick but not too heavy. The fit is super comfortable and fabric is soft. I bought these for a trip to Europe where we spent alot of time outdoors walking and they were perfect for city or casual. They are closer to a black color which is nice. They do have back pocket tabs with snaps so if you like a flat seat these aren't for you. The legs are somewhat wide which makes for a fun look and they really are extra comfortable. Runs true to size if not a little big so order down if you have any doubt. Great pants, will wear them alot this winter.

Excellent corduroys
January 18, 2011

I picked these pants based on the previous reviews and I agree with them. The corduroy is excellent: thick and soft. There is a nice amount of stretch, but not too much. In addition, the styling and color choices are good. I recommend these pants.
