Description

A favorite of the editors of Backpacker magazine, the MSR Hubba Hubba Tent is a lightweight, versatile shelter that adds only 4 pounds to your pack weight. This 2 person tent is sturdy enough to bring out during 3 seasons of backcountry adventures and with 29 square feet of floor space and 40 inches of height to let you both sit up straight, the Hubba Hubba is roomy enough to bring car camping too. After an easy set up with the all-in-one hub-and-swivel pole design, you and a friend each have your own door and vestibule for easy nighttime excursions and muddy-shoe storage. A meshy body and full-coverage fly ensure a dry night’s sleep, or for more ventilation and weight savings you can set it up with only the fly and footprint (sold separately) for a freestanding tarp-like shelter. Fast-and-light or alpine storm protection; you can customize your shelter to fit the conditions when you’re packing this best-selling MSR tent.

hubba hubba tent
October 04, 2011

Strong points of this tent - light, compact, easy to set up, durable, weatherproof It would be nice it if was a few inches longer and/or wider (although you could say that about any tent) and had a couple more points to attach guylines, but overall this tent is great and worthy of any solo or 2 person adventure!

Hubba Hubba!
August 09, 2011

This tent is great! I was concerned with the price at first, but was convinced by a few friends and the website's lifetime guarantee. I love it! So, so simple and astoundingly light! I have only had it for a few weeks, but it seems very durable. I am taking it to South America in the fall and have already used it three times in rain. Love it! Definitely recommend it. For a two person tent only weighing 4-ish pounds it is very big and comfortable.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use

Light and Just Right
January 04, 2010

I love this tent. I am 6 foot tall and have a good 6 inches of room combined above my feet and a little room on both sides. It packs up small and is very light. I have never gotten wet with this tent and water doesn't even come through when you tough the rain fly. The vestibule is large enough for all my stuff and you can throw your shoes and stuff in the smaller one on the other side. One of the hooks ripped off on mine to attach the tent to the poles but besides that best tent i've ever had by far. Also I love being able to sit up in it and change.

Fantastic design!

Light enough for a solo backpacking tent, easy to set up and sturdy. Havent had any condensation problems with the tent from hot and humid conditions to waking up to a foot of snow. Im 6'2" and plenty of room to sit up and change or sit inside and cook in one of the vestibules. would like to see a gear loft available for this model though.

Light and Easy
June 18, 2008

This tent is very light and extremely quick and easy to set up. One pole design makes it a snap to put together. Floor space is not great, but it compares to any other light two man tent. Having two vestibules and doors is very handy. I would also recommend using the footprint.

worth it
May 15, 2011

I have been extremely happy with this purchase. The interior is massive for a two person tent and it is light enough. You could get lighter, but you will sacrifice space. Id rather have a few extra ounces and not feel like I am sleeping in a hole.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Cons: Cost

This is a very powerful three season tent!
July 04, 2011

This is a very powerful three season tent! I carried him in the spring and fall out at the beach, in the foothills, in the forest, I can well use it. First, his design is very reasonable, very easy to build and very solid, and secondly, it has a very good warmth and breathability, and finally, its material is very strong, very light, weighing just two kilograms, I like it very much , we recommend the purchase of this tent! Worthy of the award-winning products!

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Great value

super tent, like it very much!
July 04, 2009

Very light, and is an easy setup. It withstood gusty rain and the price is very reasonable.

Quick Set Up
August 15, 2008

The tent really set up quickly. I agree, the floor space is not huge, but it worked for us. We got a decent thunderstorm one night and had no leaks. We did get the footprint and recommend it. Very light and splitting up the tent and hardware made it really light for both of us. I would definetely recommend this tent to a friend.
