Good Quality, thinner than expected
I have the Deluxe Dromedary Bag, and was expecting this to be made of the same material... It isn't, rather the same type of material but about 50% thinner. Still much more durable than the plastic bladder bags with no reinforcement. I'm overall happy with this product, but there is a plastic taste to water that's been sitting in the rubber straw for too long. Gotta give it a few swigs and spits before actually drinking from it after a few hours. I'm hoping this subsides, but is still just as strong after using it all summer. Make sure the valve is OFF before bed/storage. It will leak.

Durable
Unlike many of the other hydration bags, this one is durable enough to not require being placed in a pack. I use it for kayaking, and place it directly behind the seat. That means no bottles rolling around below deck, and easy access to water.

MSR Hydromedary Bag
Purchased the 3 liter bag for my Mountain Hardwear Fluid 10 Hydration Pack. The tough Cordura material is better than the unprotected vinyl bladders. The bite valve deliver's plenty of flow and does not leak, and the lock is easy to turn on/off.I didn't notice any bad taste from the bladder and it's very easy to clean.Overall a quality, durable bag that should serve me well for year's.Glad I made the purchase, and well worth the money.

Better if lid attached
The bag would be better if the lid were attached so that the risk of losing it when filling is eliminated. Other than that, it is very durable and functions well.

Second time appears to be a charm
My first bag was defective and leaked. I returned it and Altrec replaced it happily (They have great customer service). The second one has be working well for the last couple of years. The Hydromedary seems to be built like a tank, but it's also a bit pricey and that hurts me a bit.
