Description

No matter your gate, no matter how steep or flat or deep the snow is the MSR Lightning Axis 22 Snowshoes are designed to fit a wide range of snowshoe adventures. Lightweight aluminum frames have aggressive 360° Traction all the way around to enhance the bite of the very capable steel crampons under you forefoot. The SpeedLock Comfort bindings adjust easily without having to take off your gloves and the Axis™ Gait system adjusts bilaterally to accommodate either a toe-in or a toe-out gait, ensuring a natural, parallel stride that won’t have you tripping over yourself. Ergo Televator heel lifts pop up or down with a flick of your pole to make steep ascents a little easier on your legs. If the MSR Lightning Axis Snowshoe’s 22-inch length isn’t quite enough flotation for you, add on the 5-inch tail (sold separately) when the snow gets deep.

Great snowshoes. Much easier to stay in the new binding system. With the snowshoes with straps I had problems with foot staying in or straps coming undone. This speedlock binding system is GREAT!!

Just what the doctor ordered

I've owned a pair of 25" Lightning Accents for a couple of years now and love them. However...I have a hip implant and working to keep from crossing the tails while shoeing has bothered it and it can become fairly uncomfortable. When I read about MSR's latest Axis snowshoes, I was pretty excited, because I knew that they would at least help a little if not completely. So I picked up the 22's since alot of the shoeing I do is on packed snow, and...MSR also released modular floatation for the Lightning line this year as well. I can't wait to hit the trails this season.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value
