Good cheap product
June 06, 2005
This was my first stove purchase. The stove works great. Quite powerful. Don't forget to buy a lighter though. It's hard to get a match working in even a light wind.
Incredible package

totally small, it is super easy to use. I don't mind not having the starter because those usually break anyways, and you should have a lighter on a backpacking trip anyways. The fuel canisters last longer than you'd think as well.
A must for backpacking.

Lightweight, durable and easy to pack. No one should go without one of these bad boys. Many back-country spots in Utah do not allow campfires and you'll need a lightweight alternative to cook meals, this is that alternative. Also when backpacking in winter sometimes fuel for camp fires is not available or too wet to get a good fire going. The MSR camp stove is perfect for all cooking needs in the back-country or just in the foothills .
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, Cons: gas can get priceyDid you recently buy the MSR PocketRocket Stove? Write a review.

For the price this little stove met my needs. It is small enough to pack inside my cookware and worked well under a variety of of camping conditions. It's nice to get decent reliable gear without breaking the bank for a change.

For the price, this product cannot be beaten. I took this on a 5 day canoe trip. Worked great. Lightweight and durable. Takes up very little space and comes in a great packable container. One "tank" of fuel lasted the entire trip, but just barley. The flame does get quite intense and will burn certain foods, but the adjustable flame makes it quite easy to control. Would recommend this product for anyone.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Great value, Cons: burns foodWrite a review for the MSR PocketRocket Stove here.

They were really helpful and lasted the whole trip. I would recommend these for any camping trip. They were also light in weight and didn't take up much space.

Small but works

This is my first stove, I tried to get a cheap but working one. This stove met all my expectations. I've been using this stove for about 6 months now, it never failed me. Some of the reviews complaint about the wind problem, you just need to make up with some covers to block the wind. It's not a hard job to do. The stove is compact, great plus for me.
Pros: Build quality, Ease of use, Great valueMy favorite summit stove

The size and weight are just incredible, and it's been quite reliable. The construction is solid and confidence-inspiring. Like most stoves it benefits greatly from some sort of windscreen when used in gusty conditions.
Great Stove

Great little stove . I love it . Im taking it with me backpacking in the Rockies. I think the fuel should last a bit longer . But its still good.

This stove is amazing. It's small and lightweight yet packs a punch. I was impressed by how fast it boiled water. I used it for a weekend and still had fuel left over. It fits neatly into the camp pots for it so it's easy to pack.
Pros: Great design, Ease of useIt is a great stove when I don't need my XKG

It really is a small and powerful appliances! Weight only 86 grams! This little bit of weight is almost negligible! Although very small, but his fire is very fierce! Boil 1 liter of water about 4 minutes or so, is a rare, light weight, firepower outdoor stoves! Importantly, it is cheap! Recommended buy! Very good!

I just used two of these to the extremely windy Guadalupe Mountains. The stoves are super small, light and they worked excellent in the wind. Great stoves!
