this pot is awesome. at first i wasn't quite sure about the handle, but it is actually a lot stronger than it looks. you can pack anything inside it and it offers a lot of flexibility. definitely worth the buy.
very pleased

I was very pleased with the stowaway pot. I cooked three meals in it on my last trip and the lock down feature of the handle over the top of the pot really sped up the process. With it locked down, it helps to keep the heat in once off the fire and you don't have to worry about accidentally knocking it over spilling your dinner. Two thumbs up.
ONE TOUGH POT

I had one of these years ago and in haste gave it to my little brother who was doing some really extreme living at the time. I know that he really put it through it's paces. (He basically ate almost every meal out of the thing for well over a year, living with no power, ect..) I have recently bought a new as I have begun to do a lot more camping lately. It is still the same ol' heavy tough pot I remember. The wire handle seems a bit narrow or even flimsy at first, but somehow you get used to it and it really is there for good. It seals very well, and is 100% MSR quality. VERY RECOMENDED, if you don't mind a bit extra weight.
Good product, well-made, strong latch

I haven't cooked with this pot yet, but have used it to stow small items on a recent car camping trip. It is very well made with a secure latch, easily strong enough for small storage needs. Also, when the lid is locked, there should be no concerns about spilling dinner into the fire. My 1.1 liter pot is large for backpacking and, if you are trying to shave every ounce possible, you should be able to find something lighter than this. The only real criticism is that the latching mechanism is cumbersome to operate. I expected, from the internet picture, that a springloaded handle would just flip back over the lid for locking. However, the handle only folds over the lid, and then must be secured to the far side of the bowl with a heavy latching mechanism. Still, I'd buy this again.
the best camping pot ever!!!!!!!

Perfect size for one

This was my first MSR pot and I just love it. It's the perfect size to boil water for a cup of coffee brewed with the MSR MugMate coffee filter, or for adding to freeze dried foods. Water heats up exceptionally quickly in it. The way the handle folds up on top of the pot keeps the top secure and the overall size very small. You can store stuff inside the pot as well. For larger capacity, I highly recommend the MSR Stowaway pot set. This pot will fit inside the bigger set. It's all I need!
