The Whisperlite™ Shaker Jet Stove is easy to prime and light--right up to 14,000 ft. While all Whisperlite™ stoves are easy to maintain and repair, the Whisperlite™ Shaker Stove is by far the easiest--cleaning consists of merely flicking your wrist. That's because there's a weighted needle inside the jet that controls the rate of fuel flow into the mixer tube. The fuel passes through an incredibly small opening in the tube that sometimes clogs with pieces of unvaporized, solidified fuel. When the stove is on, fuel flows easily around the Shaker Jet needle. When the stove is off, you can invert it or shake it and the needle will automatically push out any excess debris through the jet opening. No messy cleaning--just a simple shake.

Definetly better than anything I've used before. Very fuel efficient, light weight, and durable. I've use three other stoves and have been begging for this one....I'm glad to finally own one!! Great stove!

I have owned a WhisperLite for over 10 years. Had to serve it one time. Very reliable, fuel efficient and easy to use. Much better that the Coleman Peaks models. Great for youth groups.

Owned it 4 years now and still running as good as the day I purchased. Never failed through 4 season use wear other stoves have pooped out on me. The only downside is the small base area resulting in a less stable unit, but not too unstable. If you are looking for a light, very reliable, really hot burning stove this one should be considered.

I have used this stove for the past 6 or 7 years. I have never had a problem starting the stove in all types of weather condidtions, including winter storms on Mount Washington. Excellent stove with lost of heating power.

I used my friend's Whisperlite and loved it, so I bought my own and it has been excellent! Only problem is it's either on, or off...no real simmer ability, so I have to pay attention when making gourmet dishes!

I've used the whisperlite shakerjet several times now, and am pleased. It must be primed (which is the nature of gasoline stoves) but it performed well for me and is very fuel efficient, compared to a coleman unit I have.

This stove leaves a lot to be disired. The fuel tube must be HOT before that stove will run. I use a micro torch to get things going.
