The baskets for these Mountainsmith poles appeared well made and they fit snuggly onto the poles so I was pleased until I used them. On the third snowshoeing trip out this winter of about 2 hours each, I noticed that one of the baskets was 75% broken off the pole attachment point and within less than a mile of snowshoeing it was completely loose and allowing my pole tip to sink completely into the snow. I will need to find some other type of pole with basket for the rest of winter as I do not want to purchase more of these baskets.
Pros: Ease of use, Cons: Bad design, not durable, breaks easily
