Tour Lumbar Pack (Recycled) 4.9 5 11 11
Wonderful purchase I have enjoyed using this bag to grab quick to go to the gym. It has a side pocket to put my water bottle in. And a large compartment to put my iPad and books in . December 17, 2011
Mountain Smith Bag Great llumbar bag. Used while mountain biking, and absolutely great, no problems with bouncing while ridin, plenty of room for snaks, keys, camera, protein gels, etc. November 27, 2011
I purchased the lumbar pack several months ago and it has been excellent!! The pack is light-weight, not bulky, and holds plenty of gear for a day hike. I like the waist/shoulder option. November 3, 2011
brilliant and convenient Mountainsmith makes a fabulous fanny pack. A surprising amount fits into the bag - I have fit a picnic for four, everything needed for an overnight trip, and a small library in there on separate occasions. It sits well on the back and the straps are comfortable and easily adjustable even with significant weight. The shoulder strap is a great alternative to wearing it on the back and the padding makes it smooth. The material is strong, lightweight and takes a beating well. I love the way it feels on even with significant weight. I am a petite 5'3 girl and the pack adjusts to my size as well as to my friend's brawny and strong 6'3 frame. The water bottle holders are an added bonus and can hold all sorts of bottles and treats. I highly recommend this bag to anyone. April 20, 2011
Great pack... Slight flaw As far as lumbar packs go, this one is a great piece. I had a mountain smith years ago (early 90's) and I loved it then. They have made many improvements over the years, but kept the original integrity of the pack. I love how you can open and close the bottom cinch straps to change the volume of the main cavity. Also, there are any number of straps you can tug on to change where the load is being carried. Truth be told, I wear this pack most often in an urban setting slung over one shoulder like a messenger bag. It works great in that capacity as well - for little trips to the store and whatnot. And stylish to boot! My only complaint is that one of bungy cords intended to hold water bottles in has pulled out over just a few months of usage. Probably not gonna bother sending it in for repair since it is only a nuisance, but I would avoid tugging on them too hard. Otherwise, enjoy the pack! November 7, 2010
Just what I needed I bought this pack to replace one that I have had for 12 years. This one looks like it will hold up even longer than that. Love all the extras that it has. August 3, 2010
Perfect for work and play! I bought one of these packs for myself last year and loved it. When my husband tried to steal mine, I bought him one too. We have done easy day hikes with them and find the size and comfort just right- though we are considering the shoulder straps for logging more miles on the trail. For work, the lumbar keeps my husband organized yet doesn't allow him to bring too much work home at the end of the day. We have the olive green and the gray and love the colors. Plus nothing beats a recycled fabric! May 30, 2010
Great Product, Hands Down! This thing is great. It keeps your back from getting really hot and keeps the weight in the pack at the hip which can be nice on short day hikes. I got the charcoal colored one which looks great on and off the trail. May 18, 2010
Excellent Pack Superior quality like all Mountainsmith products. I use it to carry camera equipment on vacation and binoculars and field guides on birding trips. Really appreciate the multiple carrying options: waistbelt, shoulder strap, and handles. It is possible to overpack this bag so that it gets heavy, especially if carrying water bottles, but this is the fault of the packer, not the bag. February 13, 2010
Best Hiking Pack This pack is durable and a perfect size. Altrec has the best price and fastest shipping - got within a week of purchasing and I live in Hawaii. October 18, 2009
perfect solution I've been searching so many websites, this one is the cheapest I found. I love it in terms of capacity, you can carry so many things with you, plus the bottom strap can hold jacket or umbrella or other gear. The only down side is that if you carry too many ,it can be sagging. May 19, 2009
