Exped: Sirius Extreme Tent
Description of Exped: Sirius Extreme Tent
Built to weather the worst, Exped's Sirius Extreme tent has the same durable, critically-acclaimed features found in the award-winning Sirius tent with less weight and a waterproof two-sided, silicone-coated ripstop nylon rainfly. Backpacker Magazine gave the Exped Sirius tent top marks for low weight and space that feels like a three-person tent, but Europe's Outdoor Magazin (that's not a typo in the name) recognized the weather protection in the tunnel tent architecture. No matter which characteristics appeal more to you, you'll appreciate the fast and easy setup that one person can pitch (four stakes!) in roughly two minutes. Windows open from the inside for convenience and feature bug netting to keep any biters at bay. Like other top Exped tents, the Sirius Extreme tent features color-coded and reflective elements, making it easy for beginners to pitch right on their first try.

Solid and compact... I'm planning a trip that will include cold, wet weather, and I'm counting of this tent to keep me warm and dry. Functional and esthetically pleasing..that's what I like, and I also like quality that will last. I'm sure I've made a great choice.

Best do it all tent I have used this tent year round and have found it to be the best do it all tent . It easly withstood wind rain and snow on Pikes Peak. This tent is a breeze to set up as well only taking 1 minute after practise. The none freestanding design is a little differnt but you get used to it.

Looks Promising Recently bought.
This being my first mountaineering tent it took a bit of time to figure how to set up.
Luckily, somebody posted photos of an erect tent on web.
Given istructions are very laconic.
But tent itself seems excellent, and once you realize how to set it up it's not hard.
Eager to put it to first test!

best tent out of hundreds i recently attended the grassroots festival in trumansburg, ny. I know this may not be the harshest of climates but we had rain for four days straight. walking up in the morning completely dry was very comforting. there was a flood warning in the area and every tent around us was completely soaked and full of water. we slept 4 in this tent and it was fine. this is easily the best piece of outdoor equiptment i have ever owned.

Very strong and light! This tent is very strong and light. details are thought through... the door has built in mesh. the guy lines have their own self tie-back connection so no knots are needed. I have already used this tent on multiday winter trips in the sierras above 10k ft with winds and 10 degree temps, and it was totally quiet and warm. i also used it in the cool deserts of california, and it has great ventilation (top vent and mesh door)...
very impressed with expeds design... roomy for 2 people, but can still hold 3 without trouble. the outer fly is kept connected to the inner shell and makes for really fast setup and break down. (the 2 can be detached from each other if desired.) i had to get used to the non-freestanding 2 pole design but after a few setups, is went fast. when staked, the tent is totally stable and tight. at just under 6 pounds without the supply/stuff bags, this tent is worth taking on multiday trips/expeditions...
i would buy it again!...
