Sizing ChartOutdoor Research Index Mitts
The dexterity of open fingers and thumbs, along with warm, wind-resistant fleece, makes these mitts an excellent choice for activities that require short intervals of fingertip work in frigid conditions. Overlapping thumb and palm openings expose your digits for difficult tasks, then cover your fingers to protect against the elements. Low-profile magnetic retaining points keep mitten flaps out of the way when they’re not in use. A soft shell palm with silicone-texture provides durability and grip.

Photography is my interest and I travel to cold places mainly for photography. The flip away design enables me to operate my camera easily because serious photography often requires manual focusing, adjusting aperture or swapping lenses, which is difficult to be done with a glove. Glad that I didn't buy a fingerless glove, because this mitts obviously offer more flexibility than a fingerless one.

These mitts are great.Because they have the flip away opening, this feature works great when your looking for snacks in your pack or gear.The index mitts really keep your hands warm, you can't beat the WindStopper fleece.
