Description
Salmon's advice for Prospect snowboard owners: "Shred it all!" They redesigned this season's Prospect with Wolle Nyvelt's gonna-rip-it attitude. The Prospect has a freestyle shape that's ideal for resort runs and park toys, but the overall design is remarkably durable and built to take plenty of ollie-abuse. Inside the Prospect is Salomon's strongest wood core--the "Aspen Strong"--with high density wood strips along the inserts and rail zones. This core has a distinct, European-made biaxial medium density fiberglass that lends a lively flex without undermining the board's durability. Around all of these wood and fiber edges is an exclusive 360-degree SWr rubber sidewall that increases the board's overall impact resistance and dampens shocks from impacts with rails, rocks and other unyielding obstacles. Like many Salomon all-mountain snowboards, the Prospect has a quadratic sidecut made from elliptical curves in the design that adjusts the radius to every running edge for optimal control--it's a better ride for guys who don't want the radial cuts found on traditional freestyle boards. Beneath everything is Salomon's P-tex 2000 base, a fast, low-maintenance, sintered surface that's finished with a medium stone finish that improves sintered base glide in all snow conditions. If you're going to dominate it all this season, this is your best Prospect ever.
