Description
A favorite of Heli-guides at the LZ and anyone who gets out in cold and damp conditions or spends time touring the backcountry. The Snoqualmie Sombrero adds warm, fuzzy, Gore WindStopper fleece earflaps to a totally weatherproof sombrero design. The earflaps can be folded down when needed and tucked away when not. A quick adjustment of the internal Cinch-Band system always provides a perfect fit. To keep the brim from going cowboy-style on you while cruising downhill, we've swapped the Seattle Sombrero's Velcro patches for snaps.

Sweet but a little warm in Humid weather This is a great hat. Most importantly, be sure not to buy too small. Great water proffing with the Gore-tex, and its use is pretty flexible. The ear flaps give you protection from the wind for those 10 degree windchill hikes. Great for anyone and anywhere but a little warm in Atlanta when its warm.

This hat is the real deal I got the black one and it's awesome. It easily adjusts to your head size and I love the way it sits low on my head so I'm really well protected. The ear and neck covers are perfect. The hat looks good as well. My son wants one now.

Exceptional Quality and Performance Need a hat that provides waterproof protectiona and warmth? This is your answer. The cinch strap keeps the hat on your head in strongest of gale force winds. The ear-flaps keep your ears warm in extreme winter conditions. I would highly recommend this headgear.

excellent hat I love the Seattle sombrero though I wish it had a way to attach the side flaps to the chin band for use during heavy wind. The same evaluation applies to the winter version, Snoqualmie Sombrero.

Superb Hat Rain proof, windproof and packable.........what else could one ask for. The adjustable headband allows for a comforable fit when the earflaps are in use or folded up.

This hat is above and beyond expectations Worked outside in the yard all weekend in the drizzle rain, but the only moisture on my head was sweat. Am waiting for the real test during elk season when it's cold and pouring rain, but have no doubts it will work just advertised then also. Well worth the money and then some.

Highly Recommended Wow!! I got the hat and went sking within a week. It was 14 degrees at the bottom of the mountain and I never once thought to myself "My head and ears are cold" I wore it all day and never was to warm either. If I had to recommend one thing to anyone who buys this hat, get low profile goggles (UVEX). The hat doesn't seem to come down far enough in the front with regular goggles. Other than that, I can't wait to sport this thing in Vail.

Good hat for nasty weather. This is a good hat to wear if you need to cover any distance outside in a cold rain. I had the rain hat without the ear and neck wrap for 4 years and wanted it ever since. Finally!

Protect me from the rain, the snow, and the wind in th wintere Best winter hat I've got. Comfort, light weight, flexibility, goretex, winstopper earflaps, and style all combined. I've tested it on my bike in rainy and windy days, in the snow in Lassen Volcanic National Park, and in the mist and wind in a waterfowl refuge. I also own a Seattle Sombrero, which I still consider one of the best hats ever made. If Snoqualmie is for the winter, Seattle is for the rest of the year. You just gotta love the brims on both hats. They simply keep your neck and most of your face dry. I do like the snaps on Snoqualmie much better than the velcros on Seattle.

expensive but good Seems to be the number for colder conditions. 20F degrees and 20-30 mph winds, did the job, warm but not too warm, brim good for blocking the sun and some wind. Expensive.
