Warm, Comfy, waterproof + good looking Best bang for your buck when looking at Softshells. I was a little bit worried about how dry this would keep me in the rain, but it's done a great job in the last 8 months I've owned it. If I don't know what the weather is going to be like, I grab this jacket.

Great Jacket but I found better. Great fit, but it needed better ventalation for high level activity. I found the MH hooded synchro jacket. It cost about the same, weights about the same, feels about the same, but has pit zips. Per there web site it is waterproof. We will see... As for the Mithrill, it has a large fit so it might bunch up during a climb. I returned it for the MH. Sorry Altrec but you did'nt carry the hooded MH.

a great jacket It's light -- enough so that you could fold it into a backpack --but also very durable. I've worn it in heavy rain, and for the most part, the water beads right off. I haven't tried it out on the slopes yet, but I'm confident it will perform well.

Nice fit I bought the L size, and it fits me well. I am 6'1" with broad shoulders, about 185 pounds, sleeves 34-35. I decided that this was the best buy for the price, with a bit more insulation and better fabric than the North Face Cipher. A bit too much insulation to wear above 55 degrees just walking around, though.

Excellent slim fit, good material, nice hood I am 6'2", with broad shoulders. I liked the length of the sleeves (about 34-35), plus that this jacket fits well with or without additional insulating layers. Nice placement of pockets and vents. I bought this going into summer in the Northwest, but the taped seams and hood should be nicely waterproof when the winter rolls around again.

Loves It My Brother got this as a Birthday Gift and loves it. He wears it all around Seattle and has worked great to keep him dry. He has not used it up on the slopes or hiking yet but he is looking forward to using it.

Becoming one of my favorites This jacket is excellent in typical Seattle weather; moderate wind and drizzle (if you live here you know what I'm talking about).

Deceptively light, warm, and stylish! The name itself implies weightless protection. I've yet to take it out into the pouring rain, but the early spring drizzles have beaded right off. It's also warmer than it looks, given it's light weight (around 21 oz. for the large size, but I'm sure it'd sneak under a pound were it not for the hood). I've taken it out while walking the dog in 35-40 degree weather with nothing but a white cotton, t-shirt underneath. Storage is fairly minimal (it does have 1 inside mesh pocket in addition to the 2 outside), which also means it's uncluttered. The best compliment I've received is from my sister, a die-hard Arc'teryx purchaser, who said, "What is that? It's really well built. The sealed zippers and taped seams ... are you sure it's not an Arc'teryx? It's really nice."

Is there a better softshell for the money? I'd have a time believing that! I have primarily been using it for skiing (regular dh and touring) and it's worked great from snowstorms to warmer spring days. So light and versatile! It's even kept me bone-dry in heavy rain storms.

Waterproof I love this jacket. I have no hesistation to wear this jacket out in the wind or pouring rain. After I get hit by a 10 foot wave that crashed against a rock I was standing on and was soaked from the waist down, and bone dry from the waist up...I knew.

Performs as expected I have not had an opportunity to try the shell out in the extreme elements just yet, only a couple of 35 degree days so far, however with a base layer, fleece, and the shell, it has performed well. With most of my skiing done in the far west, California, I am sure it is going to hold up well with the wet/heavy snow. I highly recommend the shell to anyone who skis in wet snow, or spring/powder skiing. Great buy for the bucks.

Good jacket Great price I bought this jacket to ice climb in, but blew my shoulder first. I've used it skiing and it held it's own with a light base layer and a mid-weight fleece in the teens. It seems like a good active shell. Haven't tried it in warmer weather yet. The lack of pit zips hasn't been a problem for me yet, and I sweat pretty hard. I bought a medium, I'm 6 feet tall and 190 lbs. It fits trim on me, no room for a heavy fleece, but a mid-weight fleece with a base-layer fits fine.

Superior weatherproofing The definition of Waterproof, Windproof Soft Shell! Ergonomic and fully adjustable hood. Plush inside. Water will not soak into the jacket over time. I have only had this jacket for a couple weeks but it has been cold and rainy here in the northeast US and all of my outside ventures have been warm and dry. Description says that there are no pit vents and this was one of my hangup about the jacket. But upon receiving and inspecting it I found that the pockets are made of a mesh material that works well for venting. Highly recommended!
