Don't get stuck with a humdrum walking stick. Leki's Sierra AS (Anti-Shock) stick is a spring-cushioned design that minimizes the stress and strain along your hands, elbows and shoulder joints while walking. Unscrew the polished wooden knob and attach your digital or conventional camera (be sure to verify that your camera has a tripod mounting option on the base--most do these days) and use your Sierra AS walking stick as a convenient camera monopod. The soft foam grip below the knob allows for several different handholds depending on your desired length setting and the practical buckle strap keeps the stick with you even if you're thrown off balance. Depending on where you're strolling, you can switch between the floor-friendly rubber tip cover or use the carbide Flextip for grip on slick surfaces.
