A low-maintenance travel short that never comes up short on functional features, these Boy's Meridian Shorts offer the same stuff found on the larger shorts made for backpacking adults. The rugged nylon Meridian fabric is rated with a UPF of 30+ so kids might burn less when the sunscreen starts to smudge or wash away. The fibers are highly abrasion resistant and also travel well with far less wrinkles than most cotton summer shorts. While The North Face Meridian Shorts offer plenty of pockets, most boys find that the utility pockets on the thighs have the right proportions for a variety of outdoor portable essentials (especially those handheld video games).
