When your step is not like it used to be, the Leki Wanderfreud SAS Single Pole enhances your balance, and extends your exploring stride with a staff or cane option grip. An added Soft Antishock System (SAS) uses a spring/elastimer design in the shaft to reduce stress to the wrists. The Wanderfreud SAS Single Pole is made of rugged HTS 6.5 aluminum in three telescoping sections that adjust up to 135 centimeters long. Set to an optimum length, this pole helps to distribute up to 25 percent of the effort to your upper body, and minimize stress on your knees. At the tip a Carbide Flextip presents a durable break resistant design equal to Leki's top performance trekking poles. An interchangeable basket design allows for the easy addition of a basket given the terrain and conditions. The scratch resistant Ultra Sonic finish helps to keep the pole looking good after multiple uses. Leki is the first pole manufacturer to be tested and approved by TUV, the prestigious Technical Inspection Service of Europe.

I received my Leki cane order today and couldn't be happier. From order to delivery Altrec is fine company to do business with online. Delivery from Oregon to New Jersey in two days is remarkable! Your price was the best I could find on the net and of course the product is first class. The Leki cane is perfect for the needed balance that I require. The antishock system is easily activated or deactivated with a push and a twist. The super lock system can be quickly adjusted to your desired length with a quick turn of the locking mechanism. What a great 5 star cane!!!

I USE THIS AS A CANE BUT IT WOULD BE A GREAT WALKING STICK ALSO. THE BEST CANE I HAVE EVER OWNED. I HAVE TWO OF THEM FOR EACH CAR I DRIVE. THIS CANE HAS SHOCKS TO ABSORB IMPACT AND IT WORKS GREAT. BUY IT

I am a disabled veteran who must rely on some kid of walking assistance to help take pressure off of my lower back. I hated using a cane that made me look older. This product works well for walking, shopping, (yes, shopping), and helps keep me upright while getting around in the snow and ice. The sculpted handle fits well and the anti shock feature helps to lessen pressure on the wrist. The anti-shock could be a little stiffer but it works well. At over 6' and just over 200 lbs this trekker is strong enough to hold most of my weight and I suspect even more. I have had to adjust the staff length several times as it has a tendency to slip unless the staff is twisted with significant pressure to insure that internal mechanism is properly seated. Once that is done it seems rock solid. While this is not what most people will use this product for I can see that it would be very useful for hiking on even very difficult terrain. It's height adjustment should accommodate persons from 5' to 6'5'' for its intended purpose. I would rate it 5 stars if the anti shock was somewhat stiffer and the staff locking system a little easier to secure. Like my American Express card, I never leave home without it!
