Description
Lighter and more compact than the featherweight Tikka headlamp, the waterproof Zipka Plus features a retractable strap that can be attached to your head, arm, legs, pack, pole or whatever works to help you find your way or do your work in the dark. It has a waterproof design and a watertight rubber toggle switch that alternates between four light settings: High, Medium, Economy and Intermittent. The four LED lamps consume roughly one-tenth of the power used by a standard flashlight bulb and offer a lifetime of over 100,000 hours (that's over eleven years of literally living in the dark--no pun intended). Even fully loaded with the included trio of AAA batteries, the Zipka Plus barely nudges the scales at 2.2 ounces, so it's ideal as an emergency essential even in the lightest of minimalist packs.
- Enhanced waterproof design with rubber toggle switch
- Retractable strap can be worn on head, wrist or attached to pack
- Four illumination settings
- Extended lip to keep headlamp glare out of your eyes
- High beam range: 30 ft. (10 m.)
- Battery life: 80 to 400 hours
- Temperature range: -40C to 80C
- Lamp consists of four LEDs with a 100,000 hour lifetime

Great for Pack or Pocket I work at a summer camp and this is ideal for carrying in my pocket until I need to pop it on. The different light settings are great for distance (bright) or not disturbing campers (dim). The strobe light makes for a little entertainment. Altrec got me a great price, but even at full price it is a good investment.

bright & lightweight Excellent so far. Brighter than the Princeton Tec Aurora, and very light weight. Flashing mode will be a help in bike riding after dark.

Pretty darn cool I love how small this thing is. I used to have a Tikka, and thought it was great. But the Zipka is even better. The retracting strap is very useful, and will make for a backup bike headlight in a pinch.

Functional, light weight functional take anywhere headlamp. Good for biking at night on flash mode, will attach to anything. Can fit into a pocket, but bright enough to read by.

Lightweight, effective, long lasting headlamp This is the third Zipka I've owned and they keep getting better! The light is very light and you will soon forget you have it on your head! This little device is very effecient when it comes to batteries and I have to keep reminding myself to bring extra batteries because they seem to last forever and I'm still waiting (afer three months) to put in a fresh set.
The button has been redesigned from the previous version and works better and feels better too.
Overall, this is the best ultra-portable headlamp on the market.
