Sizing ChartMountain Hardwear Ascent Gaiter (non-vented)
The waterproof Ascent Gaiter might not have the patented mesh panel found on the Ascent Ventigaiter, but it doesn't have the extra ounces either. It features a waterproof and breathable triple-ply Conduit™ laminate made from hydrophilic and hydrophobic molecules that draw moisture away from your boots and socks. The remarkable performance aspect of Conduit™ is that it accelerates the transfer process as you continue to perspire, keeping you drier and more comfortable than other waterproof and breathable laminates. At the bottom of the gaiter is a replaceable instep strap that can easily be replaced in the field without using special tools.

- Durable 420-denier Packcloth lower shell fabric
- Waterproof and breathable triple-ply Conduit™ laminate along upper

Dave - 2007-10-09Great gaiters
Used them in the Sawtooth Range in Montana recently and they outperformed anything used before this year. Coupled with Asolo TPS GTX boots it handles small streams and skree slopes with ease. Wading across large streams (1.5 feet or more deep) is something I would not recommend with this gaiter. But for its purpose and price it is a beautiful option to have.

This is a great product, but the sizing chart states to buy the product according to your shoe size and it really has no relevance to your shoe size. The product is sized by the circumference of your leg.

Used them in the Sawtooth Range in Montana recently and they outperformed anything used before this year. Coupled with Asolo TPS GTX boots it handles small streams and skree slopes with ease. Wading across large streams (1.5 feet or more deep) is something I would not recommend with this gaiter. But for its purpose and price it is a beautiful option to have.
