WOW !!!!!
As the maintenance mechanic for Edison National Historic Site in West Orange, NJ Walter commutes daily. Yesterday he was the chaperone to the Liberty Science Center and wore the eXtend Featherweight Boxer due to his extended driving. Talk about a man with a smile. He said that they were so comfortable it felt like he was wearing nothing but well supported. He wants to order more and wanted me to ask if there are going to be more colors and when. We make the effort to look for quality American made products to help keep Americans employed. Thank you, Priscilla and Walter

I give these a 5.
The eXtend Featherweight Boxer is the most comfortable I have tried. After hours of walking, they remain in place, no riding or wrinkling. I like them and will buy some more.

featherweight is great
Very good wicking and comfort properties. Featherweight is truly lightweight and durable. Another winner from mountain hardware.

Great shorts but show ware after little use.
These are a great fitting, functional layer but they do feel like they are wearing out faster than any other MH product I have ever had.

Has anyone found the perfect pair?
These are as good as any boxers I have tried in this style. They do tend to run on the large side for the sizing. I have these and Patagonia's and feel they are close to the same (these are more thin, but not as hot). When it's all over it's still tough to justify $25 for one pair when the old Jockies are still 3 for $15.00.

Super thin comfortable material - not so good stretch/fit
Very nice super thin material. However, not the best stretch/fit. I also ordered Patagonia's Men's Active Sports Boxer Brief, which has amazing stretch/fit. Overall I would recommend the Patagonia model.

Lightweight, but watch your unit
These are great for long trips, but a total design flaw is that the fly on the front gapes open, and your unit gets exposed. I had to sew my fly shut just to maintain a modacom of decency.

Nice feel but waist band surprisingly too loose.
As someone who has worn standard white cotton briefs for as long as he can remember, switching over to polyester underpants was the very last step in my transformation to backpacking light. In the interest of wearing fast-drying underpants that could also double as ad hoc swim shorts, I began trying various brands of dark colored polyester underpants. I'm certain I'm not alone in the belief that there's no article of clothing more difficult to fit than a pair of underpants. Most men probably find a comfortable brand and then stick with it given the difficulty or should I say the impossibility of "trying on" underpants. Last summer, I bought some Patagonia briefs but found them too tight. Last month, I purchased three styles for comparison: Patagonia Active Boxer Brief, Patagonia Active Sport Boxer Brief, and Mountain Hardware eXtend Featherweight Boxer. The first I bound perfect and almost as comfortable as my standard cotton briefs; the second, I found nice and stretchy but too constricting; the third, which I had hoped would be my favorite (because I've long loved the tops of the same material, I found comfortable except for the waist band which oddly was too loose, leading to an unpleasant sense of slippage). My new standard, then, will be the Patagonia Active Boxer Brief.

Does not appear that it will hold up
Works well as a base layer, but will it hold up with extended use?

Average at best
Tight fitting and lightweight. Not nearly as comfortable as the Patagonia capilene boxers. Very thin material is subject to tearing . Go with the Patagonias.
