2007-08-03Comfy Socks These are definitely the most comfortable hiking socks I've owned. The inside lining is so fuzzy and feels great against the skin. I only wish they were a bit taller...might be a bit short if you've got very tall mountaineering boots, but should be fine with hiking boots.

Julia MacPete - 2007-12-27Really Comfortable and not too warm socks I'm a CERT (Community Emergency Response Team)member and needed a good pair of thick socks to wear with boots that hurt my feet. When I added the SmartWool Trekking Heavy Crew socks--no more hurt feet! They are so comfortable and keep my feet warm without becoming too hot. I'm going to order more and would reccommend these to anyone.

Kenneth Johnson - 2006-12-21Very good for cold weather hiking. The SmartWool Trekking Heavy Crew is very capable in cold weather hiking. Both my wife and I have use the Heavy Crew in temperatures at and below freezing. Together with a quality hiking boot, these socks provide continuous comfort and warmth for both short and long hikes. The wicking layer keeps the moisture away from your feet, keeping them very comfortable.
