Icebreaker Women's Nature Hipster

If it wasn't made from wicking and breathable merino wool, the Icebreaker Women's Nature Hipster could be mistaken for lingerie. But unlike the frilly stuff, the Nature Hipster features a double layer gusset for excellent comfort while climbing, backpacking and running. Icebreaker added an exceptionally soft single elastic trim along the waist and leg openings for extra comfort on long hauls. The Nature Hipster features BodyFit150 Ultralight fabric--the lightest and most breathable merino wool blend created by Icebreaker. As with all Icebreaker garments, this special material is completely itch-free and feels exceptionally soft against your skin.

Finally!
I have been waiting for wool underwear to be made for years, and these are more comfortable than many of my non-wool pairs. I am very pleased. I used them for running and hiking and they don't migrate the unpleasant areas at all.

Great for hot weather
Seems to run small for me, had to order a large when I wear a medium in everything else. Awesome for hot and muggy weather. I live in Hawaii and do a lot of walking/running. These are the best for me!

Low rise, inconsistent sizing
These are just big enough to cover the necessary parts -- both the front and back are very low rise. The fabric is light, but not see through -- perfect for when you get hot and need your skin to breathe. The sizing, however, is *very* inconsistent. I have a 39" hip, wear a size 8 in pants/jeans, and wear a size M/6 in my current underwear. Reviews from backcountry.com suggested I order a size small for the hipsters, even though the Icebreaker sizing chart suggested I order a medium. I ordered a small in Nutmeg and Black. The Nutmeg fit just fine for me, but the Black was definitely too small -- will need a medium in Black.
