Great cushioning, Fairly good stability I have taken these shoes on several long trail runs in Auburn CA. I love the feel. I run about 50% fire road 50% rocky single track. They have excellent grip and fore-foot protection. I was concerned that the SHOX might make them more likely to roll over but that has not happened. If you like cushioning, you will like this shoe

Not good for trail running. If you run over an obstruction i.e. root or rock the plate that sandwiches the shox will roll the shoe over.

02-12-08 I have been looking for a shoe that will help with my back pain. The Junga II has helped my back pain greatly. This shoe is very comfortable and I would highly recommend to anyone for style and performance.

Well Constructed Running Shoe. I purchased the Junga II because I was looking for a running shoe that could adapt to the various types of terrain, while providing support to my feet and shock absorption. Here in Baghdad, I run across pavement, gravel and uneven surfaces and the Junga II has performed very well thus far. I've highly recommended these shoes to colleagues who run me with me on a regular basis.

Good shoes I run almost all single track. I like these shoes, but they could use some more ankle support. I used to use light hiking boots, but they are too heavy. These are lighter, but when I land on uneven ground they want to twist.

Solid performer I bought the Junga II as a replacement for my pair Junga I. The construction of the II looks much more durable, the toe box is just fine for my wide foot. The fit feels about a half size small to me.
The waffle tread is just as great as the Junga I. I wear these on trails, track, and road: solid performance in all the conditions.

this is a review Waffle blades are awesome for climbing over slipper rocks and higher sloped trails. However, the waffle blades will wear out after heavy use.

Good Shoe These shoes fit a little tighter than some of my other Nikes. I had a minor blister on one foot right out of the box (5 miles), but since then I have had no problems. These are great for varying terrains and I will purchase them again when this pair wears out.

Absorbs the shock of the down I am already a big fan of the Nike Shox running shoes on and off the trail. I am really happy with these shoes, for a few reasons: (1) They absorb the jarring on your knees and hips when running downhill. (2) The tread under the ball of the foot is very helpful for uphill running. (3) They came in my size - 15. (4) Altrec had the best price.

Great shoe The Shox Junga II fits me because I love a well cushioned shoe. I am around 180 lbs so I am not light, but I feel better running in a soft shoe then the harder soled shoes. Most of my runs are on trails around the river here in Bend, Oregon. I like them enough that I am considering buying another pair for when these wear out.
