Description of Icebreaker: Men's BodyFit260 Altitude Zip Shirt
After laboring hard to put in the Sapphire Col up track, the Icebreaker Men's BodyFit260 Altitude Zip Shirt keeps you warm even when coated in a layer of sweat. While closing things up, to protect against a stiff wind, the mid-weight layer keeps you insulated while getting the moisture out, is odor-free (unlike synthetics), and is incredibly breathable. Not the wool of the past, the fine fiber and itchless merino wool offers excellent warmth at half the bulk. The perfect winter base layer for your backcountry ski adventure, it's also a classic Wheeler Hut lounge around top after a big vertical day. The shirt features a three-way collar (zipped up, rolled down, open) for venting and warmth versatility, thumb loops to keep the sleeves in place and cover wrist gap, drop tail for covering waist gap, and underarm gussets and sleeve inserts for outstanding mobility. The warmest and most breathable performance base layer available, the Altitude Zip Shirt's slim, close-to-body performance fit will have you grinning ear-to-ear during the descent.

Great fit for athletic builds This is one of the few tops that has a smaller waist than chest, so it looks great provided that you do, too. Also the gussets in the armpits make it comfortable even if you have big lateral muscles. While the wool is not as itchy as regular wool, it does not feels as smooth as cotton or polyester.

One of my favorite pieces of gear! I have owned it all - cap, smartwool, etc.. I love IB products. I just got back from a winter mountaineering trip and the BodyFit260 worked perfectly. Kept me cool when needed, warm when needed and dries quickly. Great fit. This is the only quarter zip I will take with me on the mountains!

High-Performance This is my 3rd Icebreaker sweater/layer & I love them all. They function beautifully over a wide range of temps with their substantial coverage, fit well the mesomorph athletic build, & resist the funk. The Altitude Zip has a somewhat looser, gusseted feel around the arms & lats (easily allowing for more dynamic movement); it also has a slight rotation built into the fore-sleeves, noticeable with your thumbs through the loops. With you arms at your sides, that rotation feels a bit odd; but once your arms start to move, it makes sense: the the sleeves feel less static & pulling. Their bottom base-layers are great, too!

All around wool If you can stand being a bit warm, if you unzip and roll up your sleaves, and are in an outdoor type of cold climate this is the one wool baselayer to own.
If it is not terribly cold this Body Fit 260 Altitude Zip could possibly even be categorized as a soft shell minus having a hood.

great wool shirt I'm 6'2" and 175lbs. Fit is a little big compared to arc'teryx or smartwool. Ordered a med but fits like a large in comparison. This shirt is a very comfortable, warm, midweight shirt.Thumb holes in sleeve are great to keep sleeves from riding up and turtleneck was not too tight.

Excellent garment construction The is my 4th piece from Icebreaker and, like all the others, this is another quality product. The softness and warmth of Merino wool can't be beat. Highly recommend this for cool/cold weather outdorr activities.

Highly impressed with body temp managment contol. I currently own six diffrent pieces of Icebreaker tech gear. They all are true to size with great body movement. They never stink no matter how much you sweat and when you do wash this gear, there is no pileling(the material stays true to form and stretch).

Excellent Once you switch to merino wool, it is impossible to go back to synthetics. This shirt is standard icebreaker- well designed with superb construction. It is a slim fit garment that can be worn as either a base or as a regular shirt. It is 260g so it best suited for fall and winter. It cannot be put in the dryer.

My new favorite baselayer. I love this shirt. I used it as a baselayer with just a fleece top over it and kept me warm and comfortable snowboarding. It looks great and fits just right and no itching too.
