Great combination of water capacity & lightness
March 20, 2013

I just got this hydration pack, and took it out for a long trail run yesterday. It worked great, comfortable throughout the run. It's about 20 oz lighter than the Camelback that I'd been using, and holds as much water. Light weight was my main motivation for buying another hydration pack. I found its bladder easy to fill & load. Too soon to tell about its durability, though it appears well made. It does not have as much gear storage capacity as the Camelback, but it does have enough for the essentials on a typical long run, enough to stow a windbreaker and extra shirt, as well as a couple of small items. It rides very comfortably on my back, and does not create significant heat load. I was able to adjust its retainer straps to get a good fit without any rubbing against my inner arms. Its two pockets in front, built into the mesh vest strap system, make it easy for me to access my energy gel lozenges, electrolyte capsules, etc., without having to stop and remove the pack.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value
