Excellent product, some quality concerns
The product is excellent and exceeded my expectations. I took the Neos on an excursion trip to Alaska during the rainy season. While others on the trip were using uncomfortable Wellies, I was able to keep my hiking shoes on and hike comfortably. The Neos are also over-the-calf and kept me dry even when standing in more than a foot of water while climbing in and out of a Kodiak dingy (some people with Wellies had water spill in over the top of their boots). The only reason that I didn't give 5 stars is that, after a few days of hiking, my sister's Neos tore where the softer materials meets the footbed. My Neos are perfectly fine and my sister hasn't yet had time to contact the company, but this tear obviously makes her Neos useless. My final conclusion therefore is that the Neos are perfect for light hiking, the best I've tried, but may have trouble quality-wise if you plan to hike in them day-in and day-out.

Keep your favorite shoes on while tromping through wetlands .
I own almost every type of NEOS because I wear orthotics that restrict what shoes/boots I can wear. NEOS boots allow me to go through snow, mud, streams, forest and anywhere I feel like going in the wilderness. The "Trekker" is lightweight, and extends up to my knee. It is waterproof unless you walk through water OVER your knees! I just wish that NEOS would make these with Goretex to allow breathability, which these entirely lack.

poor sizing guidelines
The sizing for this shoe was extremely disappointing. In fact, I have to return the item and haven't decided whether to order the next size up. I ordered a M, which is supposed to fit women's shoe sizes 9-10 1/2, but none of my shoes, sized 9 and 10, could squeeze into the footbed. My husband has a pair that fit his shoes, and he's been very pleased with the performance
