Very nice pack
Overall, much bigger than I expected. Possibly too big for the small person who will wear it. However, a very nice pack. Lots of storage options. Flexible design, you can remove specialty compartments if you don't use them.

I have now raced three adventure races with this pack and it has been amazing. I am always able to get the perfect fit and grab whatever I need. Its seems to be able to fit all that I need with its various places for storage. I love it!!!

I've only used the pack once for a hike, but it was great. The metal compression thing is weird though.

great design, better stitches
Excellent design and very practical. The stiches seemed fragil when I first looked at them; In just my second run the water bottle holder on the right side ripped. I strongly urge Nike to reinforce their stitching in this product. Other than that it works wonderful!

Nike should stick to making basketball shoes...
I bought this hunk of junk but I'm returning it. I'd be suprised if this thing would survive a 24 hour adventure race. The whole bioKNX auto compression system sounds like a great idea, but in practical use the whole metal frame/shoulder drawcord contraption is just ackward, complicated and impractical. Also, the hard plastic tube that runs through the shoulder strap gets annoying after about 2 minutes. I'm not keeping this pack long enough to beat on it but I doubt the zippers would last long if you tried to stuff the pack full. I can also see the detachable water bottle pockets coming off easily if going through heavy brush or if they get snagged on anything. In all fairness the design team did get a couple things right: * The fit is nice and comfortable. * Rear, side and inner (permenant) pocket placement is good. * The small pockets on the shoulder straps are a great idea. I don't know why more packs don't have these. I'm always looking for a good spot to stash small items where they won't get lost or slosh around. * The towstrap pocket on the bottom is a nice feature. All in all, I'll take my 5 year old Salomon Raid 300 over this pack anyday.
