Few light hiking boots under $100 feel as comfortable or pack as many features as the Nike ACG Air Wallowa II. It's a lightweight, multipurpose fastpacking boot for those who want to get out but don't have time to break in traditional leather boots. It features an aggressive lug Vibram® outsole with an amazing performance-to-weight ratio that leaves other lightweight hiking boots at the trailhead. Take it out on a twenty-mile day hike or see how far you can go in a day. Your Air Wallows II is terrific. The fit is perfect. The lacing design is excellent. The "air" step is wonderful.
I own two other ACG products, whose names I forget and they do not show on the footwear. One is a Hiking Shoe, softer and more cushy than the Air Wallows, and my altime favorite.
The third is a sandal, also without a name, but ACG as well. However, it id falling apart and I keep it together with steel screws (yes!). If you want more information, let me know. According to your web site, it is not a current model (about 3 years old). I absolutely need this sandal for beach walking in the summer. I have Neuropathy and need this type of sole to stay comfortable.

Very comfortable fit, no break-in yet feel solid. Had them out in the wet and feet stayed dry. Great traction. Like the no-slip lace eyelets. Received them sooner than expected.

Overall a very nice pair of trail runners. Lightweight with very good traction.
It took a little while to break them in and they don't breathe quite as well as I'd like (being covered almost entirely with leather). But otherwise a terrific shoe.

I'm still breaking them in but I can tell they are going to work for me. I like a good arch support and a stable heel and these shoes do the trick for lightweight hiking.

Michael - 2004-08-08Great soles and good support for running.
After owning a pair of shoes that had ankle support, I realized how weak my ankles got after using them for a while. These boots are great, because I get to use my ankles again. A fine pair of shoes for the price. I also love the soles - all in all, I'm happy I bought them.
