Nike Air Zoom Kyotee Trail Running Shoe:
Hit the trail fast and even with some good fashion sense in
Nike's Air Zoom Kyotee running shoe. At a glance it might look like the emphasis is on color and contrasts, but the Air Zoom Kyotee has a lightweight profile with plenty of mesh and synthetic reinforcements that keep it in the running until you pound the resilience out of the Phylon midsole chassis (a process that happens to all running shoes over time and distance). Nike welded the midfoot fingers along the upper to enhance the support without adding on the extra ounces, but keep in mind that the Air Zoom Kyotee running shoe is rated for medium stability or pronation correction, not the maximum support found in Nike's heavier Air Structure Triax IX. Still, if you're looking for an off-road design that emphasizes minimal weight, the Air Zoom Kyotee offers the potential for shaving seconds off your trail times--without compromising any of the cushion. In addition to encapsulated heel and forefoot Air-Sole units, the Air Zoom Kyotee has a distinct soft footbed backed with distinctly positioned Phylon pods on high-impact locations. Along the bottom of the Air Zoom Kyotee is a mix of waffle and tread bars in the outsole, providing extra traction on varied terrain without adding any superfluous weight.
