Nike Men's Free 5.0 V2 Running Shoe

Inspired by the Southwest Anastasi tribes who ran long distances barefoot, the Men's Free 5.0 V2 running shoe is stable and enhances foot and leg strengthening. With a featherweight Phylite midsole formed into an engineered pattern of lateral and longitudinal flex grooves, the Men's Free 5.0 V2 mimics the motion of your natural foot. Add the medial variable lacing system, highly breathable stretch vent upper, waffle outsole and you've got a fit with cushioning that feels like you're wearing no shoes at all--only better.

These are the best shoes I have ever had
I used to always think that shoes had to have all of this "support" to be good. What a mistake that was, these NIKE FREE 5.0 are the best most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. My feet feel great for the first time in my life.

Feathery shoes, very comfortable. Also Altrec was a big surprise for me. I ordered and paid the shoes (by the way, these shoes weren't available in another stores worldwide) and they were shipped same day! I'm Europe based and I had them within 2 days.

These are the best shoes I have ever had

My favorite pair of shoes
When I first saw these shoes, I was not very impressed with the look of them, but my friend insisted that I try them. As soon as I slipped them on they felt amazing - almost like wearing no shoes, but with cushioning and support. I initially bought them just to wear to work where I am on my feet for 8+ hours a day because they were so light, breathable and flexible, but I ended up running in them and absolutely loved them. I was never a big fan of Nikes before, but these shoes are the best. I have already bought another pair and won't run in any other shoe. I tend to strike on my heels and have no problem. One more thing, I have heard of some people complain of shin splints with these shoes, but I have found after several hundred miles in these shoes that these are some of the few shoes that do NOT give me shin splints.

awsome
i tend to run on my toes a little more but i've had up to 350+ miles on there shoes and there great. you really can't have any problems with your feet to have the nike free's though unless u get the trainers

Excellent shoe for forefoot strikers
Just ordered a second pair. My initial training session with these shoes was great. Extremely comfortable, but the cushioning doesn't overwhelm the feel of your foot for the road. A word of caution, if you are a heel striker, these shoes are probably not for you. The emphasis is on feel, so these shoes do not have the stabilizing heel that is most common these days. Also, since this is my first experience with them, not sure how they will hold up over time.

I'm using it as a travel shoe as an alternative to my boots
Good, easy to wear, light, slipper shoe. Good for travel, easy to pack
