This light and versatile performance shoe features a leather and textile upper for a blend of support and breathability. With strategically-placed heel and toe bumper protection, foot comfort is enhanced via a full-length Phylon midsole and a pressure shank which supports between the mid- and outsole. The Men's Nike Takao IV adds the Nike All-Trac trail outsole for goat-like traction on a variety of outdoor surfaces. So whether you're bound for the Appalachian Trail or the summit rocks of Mt. Whitney, you'll get there with extra protection.

Great Arch support
The moment I put these on my feet and took 10 steps I knew this was a great pair of shoes, I suffer from lower back pain and if the shoe isn't comfy the pain shoots right in the spine. after a full day of wearing these walking runners it almost felt like I had nothing on my feet. Very light and great arch.

great shoe, good value, surprising durability and support.
I have tried several different brands of hikers before. I find the Takao iv hiking shoe the most comfortable hiking shoe I have worn for a long time. This shoe is compares very favorably with many other higher priced shoes for fit, support, and durability, besides which it is great looking.

Excellent shoes
These lightweight shoes are tough and comfortable at the same time. They are easy to clean, stylish, and most importantly, you can hike all day in them and be comfortable. Also, they are well ventilated and have excellent traction. A great buy. Highly recommended.
